Alright man you keep believing that. Every goalie in the league gets scored on by that shot.

I'm sure you're right

He can't be your best forward. He seriously disappears for games on end. Our top line was horrible, if they play a decent game we win today, and Vanek was the worst of the bunch
- sbroads24

I dunno man I like Pommer a lot but he was brutal today

Tyler Kennedy beat Lundqvist on the exact same shot today

He's got to be worth more than that. How many more years does he have on his contract?

He may not be a good leader/focal point, but at the very least he can be an incredibly valuable complimentary piece in the right circumstance, a la Heatley in Ottawa pre-hissy fit.

- Mr_Clean

Obviously that wouldn't be it straight up. Hell, Gaustad got a first (granted a 4th went the other way). However, I do think the return would be decent for him. I'm at the point where I want to deal even the players that I don't hate. They've been here long enough and have won nothing. It's time to go in a different direction.

Just KMN. No excuses, no reasoning, nothing can explain this team or its play. Just KMN

He can't be your best forward either. And yes they both were horrible, but Pommer at least kills Pk's

Miller had no chance, it was a (frank)ing blast of a shot. He put it in the one spot that Miller's body couldnt get to. It was a one timer. Malkin and Stamkos score those goals all the time. Turris put it in the smallest of windows that Miller couldnt cover.

Dont know how the (frank) you blame that on Miller.

- theblueandgold

Yes it was a good shot, but miller cant be on his knees before the shot occurs.

Pommer has turned over the puck a lot lately.

Yea well unfortunately the blue-collar fans in Buffalo don't really like the talented kind

This is why I can't wait for Grigorenko to get to the NHL. If you think fans here hate on Vanek's work ethic just wait until they get to sink their teeth into a russian

- Sabresfan-365

Yeah, and I appreciate that. Maybe y'all need more hard-working guys on your team, and more consistent players, there's nothing wrong with saying that.

Your highest scoring players don't have to be that guy, though. Your highest scoring players need to be the ones scoring the most goals... I am willing to give a 30-40 goal scorer a bit of a pass on the back-check if he can be highly productive.

That's fair. I wouldn't be opposed to trading him from your perspective either, it's just getting the proper value for him...

If Jeff Carter was worth Jakub Voracek, a 1st, and a 3rd, Vanek must be worth at least that... You'd have to think.

He sucked. So did 19, they were invisible. But you need to expect more out of your 7+ million dollar scoring winger.

Glad you guys won. Leino coming back wont change a thing. The Sabres are a bad team with a couple skilled players. No one has stepped up and shown leadership. Pomminville is the softest and worst center in the NHL.
- Smittyx36

Hes a winger who they sometimes try and covert.Hes not the problem with this team.

I just think it's the way the team is going right now. If we were somewhere in a playoff spot right people would be less irritated by it. I just don't think it's worth getting upset over. There are so many other problems with this team that need to be addressed before him. This teams performance has pushed me back into watching soccer again .
