Its not over analyzing anything. Vanek doesnt score those kind of goals. Not sure why everyone thinks hes a "pure goal" scorer because he has high goal totals. Theres a complete difference between the types of goal scorers.

The ref wanted to make that call. When Ehrhoff was going to step in and decided to step away, the ref was already anticipating and his hand went straight up. He was already committed.
