Agreed, Kinda my point if you thought he was ready (he wasn't) then he should have had a shot at top line minutes.

But Gerbe, Kaleta, Stafford, Foligno have all been good enough to get top 6 minutes? That's my whole issue, no one on the team earned it. Let the kid play for a little bit

Doubt it. More money and better facilities in the NHL. If he wanted to be a Russian flake he would have jut stayed over there from the start.

It's the Q.. thats a easy thing to do...The fact that he was playing in the Q was part of the reason he slipped in the draft...Q #s can be very deceiving..

I feel this was a good move.

Watching Grigorenko this season, I felt he just didn't look right. It might be because he didn't have the right linemates (cuz this Sabres team sucks bad, seriously) or because he's simply not ready.

Whatever it is, he obviously has skills and needs to play. The Q is probably not gonna help his development as much as the AHL would, but at least he'll get his confidence and swagger back, which I'm sure has taken a hit since he's been playing on the worst damn team in the league.

Yeah, I'd rather see Gerbe or Stafford gone before Grigorenko, but they're wingers and I'm guessing there's some contract issues there, right? One-way deals or whatnot? Maybe somebody can fill me in on that.

Also, I wouldn't be able to hate-watch this horrific team without Gerbe trying so hard and getting nowhere or Stafford lazily skating around like it's a Sunday afternoon on a North Dakota pond. So yeah.

Yeah this is what I have been saying. Grigorenko could have been given a chance on the third line with some offensively-minded players i.e. anyone BUT Hecht and Scott.

All-around bad move by the organization, should have waived Hecht IMO... nobody would have picked him up.
