Pens fans don't want Iggy... their blogger says so-it must be true. So package him and Gio to Boston as I suggested on the Pens blog. Chara and Gio... yikes. - geta02it
Its not that we don't WANT Iggy, its that the price is likely to be high vs the diminishing returns you get for adding ANOTHER scorer when what the Pens really need is a veteran top 4 defenseman and an upgrade to the bottom 6 forwards. |

I know I'll get crucified but what about a JBO/Kipper package for Couturier/Bryz& a 1st. or Bryz was a pretty good goalie in Phoenix. Bryz & Ramo would be interesting next year. - Kevin R
Scary, I'd actually consider this.
Interesting doesn't even begin to describe it. |

Yeah but thats the thing Whip, Bryz was a pretty good goalie in Phoenix. Philly is nothing but a burial ground for goalies. His cap hit is similar to Kippers, so really, he gives you the potential of above average goaltending while we rebuild. Look at Andersons stats in his last year in Colorado & now he's like a candidate for M V freaking P. Sometimes a change of scenery does wonders. The skills are there. |

It offers a security with Ramo as well. Best case scenario with Bryz would be that a change of scenery and he finds his game again and Ramo does well. We trade Bryz at next years deadline for a 1st or something. I can't see any GM buying out $40mil. Even for billionaires, that is a lot of money. |

Fair enough! Can you imagine the trolls if Bryz ended up in Calgary. |

Just hope he doesn't wander up to Banff or Lake Louise on an off day and run into a Grizzly bear in the park...you'd never see him again! |

It doesn't make any sense to me when we haven't seen Ramo yet. |

I wonder if Iggy would consider Montreal a destination? Beaulieu & Tinordi & a 1st would be a great return for Iggy from a futures point of view. I know its a little D oriented but I think JBO can get us that Centre, maybe from Philly (Coutts ) - Kevin R
sorry kev, don't see us giving 2 a def propects and a 1st... thsts 3 firsts for iggy |

He is an option, but.. depending on what's going on with kipper (staying, extension, trade) who knows.
If they've tried to extend kipper and it's not going well, going after someone like that wouldn't seem far fetched to me.
Personally I'd like to see them tease someone like JBO to Ottawa with Ben Bishop in mind. |

you honnestly think you would get Beaulieu, tinordi AND a 1st for a rental player who probably wouldnt even resign??
you got jokes
- Habitants98
He wouldn't go to Montreal anyways so the point is moot
He will only waive, if he does at all, to go for a serious shot at a cup.
Montreal is having a good year, but seriously, they are not of the same caliber as the elite. |

Does anyone think Jarome would wave for MON? - TandA4Flames
i think he would, but i have a feeling you guys would ask for too much....and the Flames are only gonna get one of Tinordi or Beaulieu...not both |

this is a familiar story we've heard over the last 3 years and i'm not convinced Iggy wouldnt say yes to MTL, ppl are talking about Cammy having influence based on his stint there and blah blah except you'd have to be stuck in the past to believe thats the same team/management
you say the Habs arent the same as the elite and yet they are 1-1 vs the elite boston this year (and always give them a hard time in the offs or beat em) and showed they can play even to Pitts' level of offense just 2 weeks ago
so again ppl are living in the past with the habs so i dunno if Iggy wouldnt wave to go to MTL thats definetly not out of the question until we hear it from Iggy's agent
so it comes down to if the price is too high for Pitts or if they'd rather just focus on getting a D (which they should) then i need to point out that the Habs can definetly offer a better package than The Bs, just not Pitts |

Hey moron. Last I looked Philly has 1 more point than Calgary & we have 3 games in hand. I dont think Philly has any untouchables in Homers eyes right now. Couturier is playing on the 3rd line, has 7 points in 28 games & is -8. I dont think Schenn & Giroux are going anywhere & they are screaming for change & a top 2 dman. Obviously I am not talking straight up for those 2 but I must say, based on performance this year, if I were GM doing that deal, I would think twice about a straight up swap. Could care less about last summer, Philly were looking good & were in the playoffs. This year not. As for your guys, obviously the deal would have more pieces in it so piss off. Never even considered Montreal as a trade partner for Iggy until today anyway. - Kevin R
so i'm a moron, but despite the fact that Philly is likely not making the playoffs they should give up Couts who's what not even 20 yet? because they want to add Jbo's contract to their roster next year?
i doubt i'm the moron on this one, why be in a hurry to lose Couts to get a player when you arent even making the playoffs (very likely) before waiting in the summer and checking your options
yet i'm the moron.....k |

Agree, obviously more would have to come from our side, not sure what. Your Habitant brother just pissed me off. If I were Feaster I would consider those 2 for Iggy forget the pick. Probably better than a Dupres or Maata & a 1st because f the fact both Montreal prospects are more developed than a raw 1st would be. We need nHL ready youth more than the 1st picks. |

Well I think expectation is a lot greater in Philly & to say they are going to wave the flag on the playoffs, probably wont sit well. We think we are each morons so at least we can agree on that eh. |
