You know, I wasn't cussing...I was just laughing out loud as my wife stared at me. Only Bollus...can miss a wide open net. Eddie O talked about him rushing his shot, but you know what, that's what guys with no skill do...They rush their shot. I also LOVED the half @ss effort on draws by Bollus. Just pure laziness. Almost like, hell it is like, he doesn't care about faceoffs. How Kane even is a threat on a nightly basis playing with that pile, is a huge testament to his skill. - SteveRain
Yeah, too bad Sharp wasn't there to ring one off the post instead.

How on earth does Kane put up with that pile? |

Pretty sure last night the Canes announcers said his (Ribiero) FO% was 42% - eburgio
That's bad but can't be too much worse than Kruger factoring in all variables....And we know Bolland gets above 50% about 3 times a month.
I said today faceoffs would still be a concern, but Ribeiro would fill some needs....A legit 2nd line center, help on the PP and in the shootout.
He makes sense but won't be easy to get if available.
At first blush I thought Bowman would not acquire any top six forward....But if so Ribeiro might be the best option.
He should be motivated as getting another $5 mill per season deal might not be easy.

Our prospect pool is heavy with bottom six forward and bottom pairing Dmen. At this point I see only TT and Clendening as prospect who project above that. Eller is ahead of any center currently in the Hawks organization other than Toews. Unlike Bolland, Shaw and Kruger, Eller could center a second line in Chicago.
I think we both agree the bottom line is we need a second line center! - hawksbuzz
Don't get me wrong I won't slam the kid as I haven't watched him more than a few times but from a ways away I don't think he will command all that much on the trade market. He hasn't lived up to expectations so better off offering some Ice Hogs...
I posted the other day the Montreal scouts have been scheduled at the UC during the last homestand quite a few times.... |

He hasn't been remotely close on anything anyone has ever done unless it's been reported by Dreger or McKenzie first. |

I don't know gentlemen, other GM's are getting players signed, exploring trade options, making deals , getting themselves into some kind of position whether it be for the post season or the future. all that is, except ours! i'm gonna go on a limb and say, he's gonna pull a Lovie/angelo, come april 3rd, "we like our team, we believe this current group of players gives us the best chance to win, we fell we're physical enough (ya right boston will kick our asses all over the ice), yada, yada, bow crap"! then we'll get bounced again in the 1st round & mr.cub will once again do his spin master marketing pr. stuff by saying "we felt we didn't want to give up our future so we decided to stand pat"!!
I say BOW SH IT! Kane & Toews will be a year older, Sharp (should be moved this summer if you can get a decent return) will be 32 with 4 years left at 6Mill a year., ect.
Hopefully Stan is looking at guys like we mentioned before, Ott, Brassard, Neil, Smith ect. why do i have a feeling he's gonna blow a fart at the deadline and just do something meager while other teams get serious!
ps. just watching a hell of a fight between mike brown & jordan tootoo! I remember when danny carcillo used to go like that until Queenville turned him into a pu ssy!! hopefully carbomb goes boom soon & gets back to being like these 2 mentioned above! |

Agree, frick max talbot, and unless Iginla is gonna sign a 2 year extension & you don't have to give them leddy,or any of our prizes, i say other previously mentioned options are better. Has Ek ever been right on any hawk moves??? |

I understand frustrations but being critical of Bowman now makes no sense. As it stands his "moves" have us at 1st place in the west. Granted, we all agree there are a few areas in need of an upgrade. However, I will wait till after the trade deadline to praise or criticize. |
