Well, they are no good because we didn't pick them in round one.

I only want first round defensemen, like Shea Weber, Duncan Keith, Alexander Edler, Nicklas Lidstrom and PK Subban.

I wanted the Flyers to draft everyone of those players. They royally screwed up again.

Isn't odd how consistently these guys get the "flu", and how consistently it only lasts a day or 2 as opposed to a week or more for the rest of us?
- wolfhounds

Flu is really only debilitating for a few days. Enough symptom fighters and you can get back at it. They're also in much better shape than most all of us. Which Flyer was it that scored scored like 4 goals, when he had the flu?

Do you have a doctor on staff at your place of employment who prescribes you medication the instant you feel sick?

Pretty sure that they passed on each one, since they are all non-first round picks. A couple went in the third round, including Lidstrom

Don't you sit in line every time there's a new release?

If not, turn in your hipster card please.

Just more proof of the Flyers ineptitude at the Draft table.

Finding yourself behind doesn't mean that you didn't come out with effort. It's not black and white. Where playing poorly means lack of effort. They made the same mistakes they've been making all Season. They had plenty of jump energy wise to start the game. That was not the issue. And was not why they were down 1-0. couturier turned a puck over at the blue line. And then Meszaros made another turnover below the goal line, and lost his check which was Elias.
- MJL

again - the first shift..flat as can be, pinned in their own end, hartnell iced the puck just to get a stoppage. the energy wasn't there - the oddman rush happened, and then yes, a poor turnover by coots, which was soft, lazy, and turned into the clownshow around their own net and a goal being scored. zero evidence in terms of "being up on their skates"...they weren't ready.

they collected themselves when the 4th line came out and turned things around by drawing some penalties. at that point they got engaged but quickly followed their script of making mistakes in terms of puck support and aggression after they tied it up.

i'm simply saying they started slowly. at the end of the day it doesn't (frank)ing matter. they ultimately played poorly and lost.

We obviously disagree. In my opinion energy and work ethic was not the issue. And it isn't for the most part with this team.

Opening shifts, Grossmann pinches with no real play on the puck. They chip the puck past him and Ponikarovsky is off on a 2 on 1, and Bryz makes a great save. Effort and being flat is not the reason. It's the way they play, not being flat.

The Flyers 1st and a roster player to Columbus for Bob. Holmgren could also offersheet him as an RFA this year. The Flyers have shown they aren't above offersheeting people.

Kid is only 24 years old and putting up stellar numbers on a horrible team with his top 4 defensemen all injured at one point or another. In the 2 years he's been a starter behind suspect defensive teams he's put up .915 and .921 sv% so far.

He could lock down the goalie position for the next 9 years.

- Flyers_01

There is a very good chance that Bob has thrived in Columbus because the pressure of playing between the pipes in Columbus isn't even close to Philly. Alot of guys in various sports have thrived when they have left the pressurized market to a not so much pressure situation.

That's it. I knew it was one of the players I really liked but kept thinking it was Poulin, my all-time favorite, even though I knew that was wrong before thinking it was Leach.
