Kane is awesome. Kind of a jackass but who cares. The other Kane had another nast shootout goal tonight - sbroads24
Agree with the jackass part |

Like this
8 yrs 64 mil for Vanek
8 yrs 48 mil for Pommer
6 yrs 45 mil for Miller
That is what it will take to keep those guys IMO based on the Zajac and Getzlaf deals. You have to pay UFA prices to resign your players prior. - dadeadhead
I doubt any of them get that many years. I'm thinking:
6 yr 48 mil for Vanek
5 yr 27.5 for Pominville
4 yr 25 mil for Miller (although I wouldn't pay him that but that's what he might get on the open market) |

Myers with just about anybody is the biggest dumpster fire of a pairing back there right now. - buffalofan19

He's been fine lately. HIm and Hoff have been the best pairing |

It doesn't, that's the point. Even with a Leino buyout someone either has to take a massive pay cut or they are getting dealt in the next 6 months. - Sabresfan-365
So why did they lower the cap in the first place, since revenue increases yearly? I can't see how this works out.

I would move Myers for a nice price, as I've stated before I've never been a 57 supporter. - sabresfandan
Number one draft pick and a prospect would suit me just fine |

For that type of money for Vanek, I dump him and trade for Perry's rights and have Pegula do one of his sell jobs. |

The key to me is that he wins 55% of his draws. Ennis only wins 42%. They moved Ennis to center because organizationally we had such lousy depth at that position. He flourished there in a short sample size. He has played fine this year for the most part but he isn't really a center. - Pierceme69
That's cool and I understand what you're saying, but there is more to playing the center position than winning faceoffs. I could see Stoll being on the wing with Ennis and taking the draws for him, but Stoll is having a down year and doesn't bring much offensively, what's the point?

Every time I hear "player X shouldn't be a center, he isn't good at faceoffs", I just shake my head. It really shows a lack of understanding for the game. It's like saying Tom Brady isn't a good quarterback because he's not a good scrambler. |

No, Leopold and Myers are the worst D pairing in the game. - sbroads24
Pair him Bogosian and you will see a worse pairing. They are both terrible right now. |

Vanek and Pommer will sign for max (length) deals.
If UFA 7yrs, if resigning with us 8yrs. Only way to keep cap hit down. Both are going to want a ton up front. |

Myers has actually looked good lately. Not dominant but he looks less confused and more confident. I'm pretty sure we move him and end up regretting it. |

Whoever it is that always wants to trade for Chris Stewart, he has another goal tonight. 12 on the season. - Pierceme69
YUP. I would love him on our team. Just like the way he plays, athletic and can score, not too flashy. |

(frank) 'em then. We have Ennis, Foligno, Ott to resign too. That would be our whole cap pretty much. |

We already have him in Stafford. They are very similar players and like to vanish for long stretches at a time. Hence why Colorado had no problem including him in the trade. |

I'm curious as to what you've heard? IMO, it's to early to give up on him. However, you have to wonder what his level of commitment is. Obviously you want guys who put in the work, like a Zemgus Girgensons. Scouts i've talked to have nothing but great things to say about the kid's work ethic. |
