Homer said it man Van and Miller aren't moving at this deadline. I think Pommer is the guy they'll consider moving.
- sabresfandan

I think he gives you the most return right now from a team.

Miller brings you more closer to the draft.

If they can't resign Vanek his value will be through the roof at the deadline next year.

It's going to be an 8yr extension at or near 8 mil to keep him IMO.

I'll pass.

Im not paying the 7 or 8 mil hes going to want.I dont belive he ll hold up a whole season or put up the numbers going forward in the next contract.

I don't disagree with you. Just giving you my gut feeling on what I feel the organization is thinking.

Thats because Pommers the most desireable imo.Hes the biggest bang for the buck and for a team looking for a consistant scoring winger who can thread the needle.Someone would get a steal with him.I hope they dont deal him myself.

I agree DD I think 26 is their guy going forward of the 3 they want 26 the most IMO

Anyone think Pommer would take a little less to stay here ?

I think so too Pommer's value right now as I said earlier has to net a nice return to say the least.

Won't know until July 1st. If memory serves me that is the 1st time the 2 sides can talk extension.

Tough to guess what they do with Vanek, when you don't know what happens to Regier yet. Thoughts on replacements?

are you talking through free agency or through what we might get for him?

I like Drouin or Shinkaruk as a replacement. They don't play the same way but I figure the offensive output should be the same.

Travis Zajac got 8yrs 48 mil from the Devils I suspect Pominville will want something similar perhaps with less years on it.

LeBrun just wrote in his blog that Vancouver is asking us about Ott but we haven't made him available. I have no interest in moving Ott, love his game.

Oh, that's my bad. If they want to go the internal route I wouldn't be shocked if Ken Sawyer was a candidate. If they go searching for one I bet they give Dudley a good look maybe even Burke or Jim Nill (redwings assistant GM).
