I would put Stoll on the 2nd line and move Ennis back to wing where he belongs - Pierceme69
Stoll isn't really a 2nd liner anymore. Can do it in a pinch for a few games if there's an injury. He is a 3rd line center at this point of his career.
1) We dump Stafford and his $4 million salary.
2) Stoll is signed for 2 more years at a friendly $3.25 million per
3) Bernier could be our goalie of the future and arguably is as good as Miller is now
4) Acquiring Stoll allows us to move Ennis back to the wing where I think he belongs
5) We could trade Miller for a decent return to fill in any perceived roster holes - Pierceme69
3) No hes not arguably as good as Miller is now. Hes a backup and hasnt proved anything as a starter.
4) Ennis is a center. Hes the best puck handler on the team. He has the best vision. You put those players in the center of the ice to have the puck as much as possible. Since we moved him to center, he has proved he can play with anybody. And Stoll is nothing more than a 3rd line center. Stoll certainly solidifies our 3rd line C role until Girgensons is ready but by no means is he a top 2 center.

The key to me is that he wins 55% of his draws. Ennis only wins 42%. They moved Ennis to center because organizationally we had such lousy depth at that position. He flourished there in a short sample size. He has played fine this year for the most part but he isn't really a center.

Ennis loses 58% of his draws. I'd rather have him on the wing. He will have the same skills without the FO deficiency.

And thats fine but if Stoll is in your top 6, you have more questions than answers.

Hodgson and Grigorenko should be the top two centers going forward. Ennis should be on 25's wing.
