i agree. it was a numbers game and brad boyes was the odd man out. it doesnt help that he wasnt making his chances count but thats the breaks.

Yea. He's getting Drew Stafford minutes from the first half of this season.

Maybe we should have kept Boyes, and waived Stafford.

Miller wants out and Vanek said he isnt returning after the season.

If we get rid of Vanek I would be really upset. He is one of the premier goal scorers in this league and it has been a pleasure to watch him play.


With his next contract, you have to think about when he might retire. You still get penalized when a guy retires with years on his contract cap wise, so I don't think he will get anything more than a 5 year deal. 5 years 35 million dollars is fair.

where does this person think the flyers have room for miller and vaneks contract. they'd be taking on a TON of salary if they did this.

Read is a solid player, but seems to be a 2nd liner at best IMO. The first rounder would be nice but trading away our top 2 players for a maybe 2nd liner, overpaid goalie and a first doesnt make much sense.

Feels like the lock out again... we were undefeated for like 3 months!!

I think Brian Flynn looks pretty good, Porter is also a nice call up...I go to all the Amerks games and I can tell you the team is very slow and the only guy I have hope in is McNabb. Pysyk is terrible and a waste of a first rd pick. Buffalo should look to move Vanek or Poms for some up and coming players. Hodgson was a good move, we need more like that move.

Any specifics on why Pysyk is terrible? I haven't been to any of the games but have heard he was pretty steady, nothing flashy which is fine by me. 17 pts and a +11 this season doesn't seem too bad to me?????

With a first rd pick its nice to draft skill or an amazing shut down player. Pysyk is not pyshical at all and he has trouble with the larger forwards. I just see him as a Chris Butler clone. Cant score, doesn't hit and is just Mr average. Waste of a first rd pick. In a few years her might advance as Defensemen take longer.
