We already have him in Stafford. They are very similar players and like to vanish for long stretches at a time. Hence why Colorado had no problem including him in the trade. - dadeadhead
Yeah I mean I honestly think Stewart > Stafford at this point. Staff for Stew straight up I would do. I don't think STL wants to move him.

I'm curious as to what you've heard? IMO, it's to early to give up on him. However, you have to wonder what his level of commitment is. Obviously you want guys who put in the work, like a Zemgus Girgensons. Scouts i've talked to have nothing but great things to say about the kid's work ethic. - BJJ127

Ok on Pommer grrrrrrrr well i dont like Miller but ok for Miller hell no for Vanek - buffalo 1
I say keep Vanek and trade Miller and Pommer. Get Bernier and build around Vanek , Hodgson, Ehrhoff, Myers. Hate to do it but we have to do something and this is what I would do. |

At this point yes. They were interested in moving him last year because he was nowhere to be found for a while there. |

I would do all of those things if I was getting paid 12 million dollars a year, can't fault the kid, he's only human |

Who wrote that Regier may ruin the kid by giving him that contract?

Like the NFL players that can't not smoke weed while they're playing.
The avg career is short, do that poop when you retire. |

Whoever it is that always wants to trade for Chris Stewart, he has another goal tonight. 12 on the season. - Pierceme69
I was talking about that for a while...
Doubt it happens now though |

Clutterbuck and Setoguchi -for- Stafford and Leopold
...runs away |

I like Evander Kane and Andrew Ladd a lot also like Bogosian on D - sabresfandan
Bogo and Ladd you'd have to pry out of their dead hands, but I don't think Kane is happy there, Bogozian and Kane are the gems there IMO |

By all means, I am not picking on you!
This is just a general question!!
What do we see in Bernier?? That makes him SO desirable for the Sabres???

you know a guy like Vanek will want more than Zajac. His agent will probably look at what Perry gets this year and take that number to Sabres - Sabresfan-365
Exactly. Any smart agent with Van's season is going to cash in... |

24 yrs old
Drafted 11th overall
Has better numbers than Quick this year.
Whatever IT is, he has IT. |

But, has he played enough games to show that he can carry the load?
Is he that much better than Enroth?
Enroth has 2 solid games against the Devils and NYR! |

No, hes just some solid backup who everyone wants to give $3.5M to $4M per to because they think hes better than Miller.
If I trade for him, and he becomes my starter. I give him 3 years at 2-2.5M to show me what hes worth. Then when hes 27 and if hes done his job, he can cash out. Will bring him to 35 with still room for another contract. |

Yes Vanek will get paid, but is 8 million really any worse than what he gets now? He still has next season to go, what if he isn't amazing?
Just watched the interview with Pominville, can't believe they asked if he has talked to Darcy about getting traded..
Wouldn't mind if they traded him though |

I don't think he's better than Miller.
In fact I think he can put up the same numbers (or close to)Miller does for a much lower cost. |

I said Staff for Clutterbuck yesterday. I think it's perfect... Although adding Seto for Leo makes it lopsided for us. |

Here is another question: Do you believe that Darcy can get it done??
Everyone in here is talking all these trades!
I think the FIRST thing that has to be done is to pull the plug on Darcy!
Only thing that Darcy has done OK is drafting.
I don't think he can pull a major trade! |
