It's confirmed....heard it on the Jim Rome show today 
Still a gamble for the Pats though. Like they all say, better the devil you know than the devil you don't know. Amendola could explode this year, even Edelman had sick numbers when Welker hit the back burner at the start of the year.
I've got a good feeling

Just find it interesting they wouldn't pay Welker close to the same money for 2 years when he is probably better than Amendola (time will tell) and less of a health risk. |

Ek, any word on what would be coming to San Jose in exchange for Clowe? I would hope it's for some scoring depth as Clowe is struggling BADLY this season after being one of our best players for the past 4 years.

The Flyers don't "lack any transition game form their own zone" The D can get it out with sufficient competence most times, as evidenced by the numerous puck moving plays out of the zone the D makes every game. What the team does with the puck from there (and certain other problem areas) could use a lot of work. |

This might not have been the case though. He might have thought he could get more than what the Pats offered him (say it WAS 2 years 12 mil). Pats told him to walk, made other plans, then by the time Welker knew it that's the most he actually could get on the open market. |

Okay, I am lost. Toronto would still be interested in Clowe if we moved the trade deadline to April. I thought we did move the trade deadline to April? Someone message me if I have the date wrong because google told me April 3.
Also Ryan Miller will remain a Bruin? Did I miss a trade? My computer is too slow to check TSN but I thought he played in Buffalo still. Unless there are two Ryan Millers. Then the kings want him in the summer? Are they losing Quick? No offense to Miller and I know Quick is having a bad year but Quick is still a top 5 and I think Miller dropped out of that rank last year. Why have a top 10 goalie as a backup when you already have Bernier who has a 1.1 something GAA?
