Thank You. I realize that the Steve Y and other are tough player, When SY took that clapper to the face, that was terrible.. Tough dude for sure. Not what I am getting at for the Isles team. They all can prolly play with a hang nail or a soar foot or tooth.. But lets play playoff, in your Frankin Face hockey..

Maybe he's a vegan?

To have been out this long due to a b12 deficiency is a major red flag. If it's something like pernicious anemia, he could never get it completely right.

fine..we will agree to disagree

Yea, as I said, you see him more and you have been consistently high on him for a long time. All I'm saying is, he hasn't been great or even good when he has been up here. this medical issue is a big deal. I just think the isles should be looking for a #1.

i agree..like i said ray emery on a two year deal..a good stop gap..i'd also consider trading for bernier..from what i have seen Anders has franchise goalie potential..he has the best skill set of any goalie i have ever seen to play for the sound tigers...obviously the health is an issue. but i think 2 years from now if all goes right he could be competing for the starting job...

I think the bigger problem is that out of our top three lines and top 2 dman pairings, we only really have two players who play a 'tough game'. Tavares and Hamonic. Moulson puts himself in dirty areas offensively but is awful defensively and not very physical in the corners. Nielsen/bailey/Okposo? Streit/Vis? AMac?
- keaner17

Absolutely. I've been ringing that bell for years. Too many players in key roles that are good off the rush, but borderline useless when it's a battle along the boards or in the corners.

He mentioned that Boyes was plan B but I don't think he said it would be for Clowe. He just says that he is a plan B. I would do it if I was the Isles but I'm not sure the Sharks would

Big difference between playing soft and receiving fighting majors. I'd have to agree that we've played like one of the softest teams in the league for several years now, though we had a temporary lapse when Sutton was here.

We're a perimeter team that doesn't play strong in the greasy areas on either end, hence the 'soft' term applies. I think with much bigger players in our system now, that should change over the next couple of years, but right now we still struggle in those areas.

- keaner17

Tough team = Boston Bruins. Tough team = Philly. Those are model tough teams that the Isles should be looking to emulate.

from the way he wrote it, it seems like he was saying the leafs offer for Clowe is Plan A and that brad boyes for Clowe is Plan B...u understand it differently?

I think they meant Clowe is plan A for the Leafs and Boyes plan B.
meh, it's Ek....so plan A & B won't happen

why do you keep asking yourself "why do you even entertain this poop" when you entertain it EVERY time without fail and when you arent even involved?

That's funny, I was responding to a post addressed to me from you?

- i did watch them
- i am not going to debate this
- you probably have to explain why majors arent a good indicator (not the ONLY indicator) of team toughness.

the point of bringing to your attention all the majors is that i dont think the islanders have been "bar none the softest team in the league"

- LetsGoIsles

Just you saying majors are a good barometer of whether a team is soft or not says it all. They are'nt even defined as fighting majors which in itself would'nt even be a good measuring stick. The fact that you can't understand why makes me not want to continue discussing this with you.

John Erskin is an animal. They have some other middle weights that are fairly tough. Don't see it.
- bixll

They also hit which our team has done maybe 3 times out of all of the games they've played this year.

whats a glue bag?

and like 178 said, i KNOW the islanders are a soft team, but definitely not "bar none the softest team in the league"

Oh, you know what it is.

its not about fights..none about this is fights .they get pushed around easily..especially there top six..all you have to do is keep ovie wide and he is invisible
- NYI78

Correct, thats where some people are getting confused. Some moron going out there and getting into a wrestling match and playing 4 minutes a game does not make a team tough. The Islanders avoid contact like the other team has the Ebola virus, that's what makes them soft amongst other things which most people with common sense would not debate.

And now he is hurt. I'm supposed to get excited about Anders Nillson? I'm sorry I'm not. I need to see a lot more before we can even consider him a #1 goalie. Not saying he can't be, but certainly not a lock.
- Isles316

This is very unIslander fan like of you. These are all of our elite prospects we have coming up due to Garf's drafting genius
