Who the heck cares? I can't stand Howie Rose calling Islanders games. If my wife's in the other room, she always asks who scored for the Islanders whenever he calls a goal for the other team

Although, knowing Wang, the chips kid from the draft table is probably next in line for the job, so I should be careful what I ask for.

Really though, if Howie didn't get canned after that "Is it Spring Training yet?" hot mic moment, he's not getting canned.

They are also a goalie away. I don't think the Isles have a top goalie in their system.
- Isles316

i'm convinced Anders Nilsson is..he just has to get his medical issues in order..they could use a stop gap to him like sign Ray Emery to a two year deal

I hear you I work with his sister and she keeps reminding me that he is a Ranger fan first and then an Islanders fan. I tell her that can not be possible at all

Too many pucks go right through him. You see him more, but I haven't loved what I've seen from him.

John Erskin is an animal. They have some other middle weights that are fairly tough. Don't see it.

Define "tough." Cizikas is a friggin' warrior who will go to any area on the ice and gladly throws the body. Still not the toughest player out there though if only because he has to fill out more. McDonald is likewise fearless with throwing the body around, but not exactly destroying people out there. Boulton and Finley are both tougher than Hamonic if only because they'll drop the gloves in addition to being physical and throwing hits.

Edit -- Heck, I'd define Tavares as one of the toughest players on the team, to be honest. Guy will always go where he has to in order to score, despite taking countless sticks to the back and having a target on him with limited protection in every game.

I love Casey, have been a fan since Wjrs.. The others you mention are hardly full time players. Not sure about McDonald. If Findley can stay around, he will certainly help.

I define a tough player as a Matt Martin stlye player , as he should play. Not in his goon role. A Wendel Clarke, Rick Tocchet, Cam Neely. Lucic, Kassian, type players. Play the game however you want to play it, but big tough physcial teams are my favorite to watch. Todays Leafs and Bruins are fun to watch.
