Trying to take the positive approach, this is the first time I remember the Isles playing a meaningful game after DayLight Savings. We have that going for us! At least they are in a playoff race the last 20 games right? ??? Right?

Guys isles are not a soft team. Not are they not offensive either. Our biggest issue is we are a horrible defensive team. We lead the league in GA. And none of us can blame nabby for that.

Part of the reason they are a bad defensive team is because the forwards are soft as hell.

Nope, just get anxious with health issues regarding the heart or blood. I get general anxiety and panic issues from my day to day following of the team.
- Isles316

i hear you. It is a scary topic. I think we all get anxiety from this team. Team drives me nuts, it's like they do it on purpose from top to bottom.

Trade Rumor:

Other rumours are that Chris Stewart is out of favour in St. Louis and his name has popped up in more than a few cities.

i hate being a Debbie downer but with the teams in front of us having games in hand and us just not being that great it's a long shot but there is a chance

I'd put our chances at about 1/5 to make the playoffs. Maybe less. I certainly wouldn't bet money on it. I'd love to see them get a shot and if it wasn't Boston they were playing they may even win a game or two, but if I take off my Isles glasses and look at the team and think of the physicality of a playoff series..I'm almost thinking it's better to miss the playoffs.

i agree with the entire last part and disagree with the first part. I don't understand how you could think the isles are'nt a soft team. they don't hit, there's no sand papaer in their game whatsoever minus the fourth line and they are'nt exactly beating the opposition to a pulp.. They don't grind it out along the boards. There is no toughness at all in this team minus the fourth line.

I'd say that's a reasonable percentage. I'd love to see them make it just to get their feet wet and for management to know what we all know already as far as what they need to succeed in the playoffs. Facing Boston would leave management with few excuses to lay on the fanbase in the offseason. It would be blaringly obvious. the one big negative for me would be the possibility of an assinine resigning of Capuano for getting them there even though it seems he is doing everything in his power to prevent it?

I was watching NHL Network the other day. This isnt scientific by anymeans but they said in order for teams like Philly Tampa and the NY Islanders to make the PO's. They would have to play nearly 750% winning hockey from now until the end of the season. This was based on the record and consistency of the teams in front of them. Their own record and and the number of games the teams in question have played.

Of course stranger things have happened but I see us ending this season + or - 2 games of a 500 record. And that wont get us into the PO's

Yeah, I think you meant 75%? I'd say 1 in 5 like Isles since 6 said which is about a 20% chance which is about equal to their estimates I believe? That is if they turn it out in the last 20 games. It's tough to gain ground when you don't have the games in hand and you're an inconsistent team.

Too late!
Pee Wee Herman was arrested for masturbating in public. On the same day PA Parenteau was given an award for masturbating in public!
