What do you think of trying to get Ben Bishop from Ottawa?
He would be a solid #2.
They will have a goalie glut when Anderson gets back with Lehner.

What would it take to get him?
Mid round pick or more?

I know. I didn't think they were great, but being one of the worst teams in the league surprises me.

2006-07 isn't a distant memory.

Of course, I thought we were in good shape for the future and not really this season. I expected disappointment this year compared to last, but I did expect a 5 - 8 finish in the East. Not almost 30th in the league.

Like I said last night. Maddening, especially when they can't get anything going and their play is akin to a showing of the Keystone Kops.

8 of their 16 losses have been by 3 or more goals. on the flip side they have only won 3 games by 3 or more

If they really do plan on parting ways with Bryz, I do this.

Im excited for next week when they'll be sliding down the standings on their way to a top 5 pick and I won't have the dry heaves from watching them

After they lose to the Devils tomorrow night, they have one game in 8 days. They will be so far buried in the standings you will need a microscope to find Coburn's nose.

Flyers have the most regulation losses in the NHL. That is stunning.

Clearly they miss Jody Shelly.

I wonder how we'll refer to this season when all is said and done. TSTSNBN 2.0? 1.5?

I think tomorrow night is Laviolette's last game. I think we'll see a repeat of last night because that was a repeat of the previous NJ-PHI games.

Ugh.

Dustin Brown
Jarome Iginla
Shea Weber
Ryan Callahan

I'd follow them into battle any day, and would gladly make any of them captain when they were (Iginla was 27, I think).

I loathed Kyle Calder and Randy Robitaille more that year. It's like comparing what you like less: the runs or the throws.

Most likely true. I would love to see them win tomorrow night just to show they can beat these Devils jerks.

I think Bryz gets another season to see how he will play when he gets 70-80% of the ice time and not 95%, and how he does with a new coach.

They need a reliable back up and if they can get a guy with higher potential if they decide to cut ties with Bryz all the better.

This is what you are saying, yes?

6-1 Devils. Either Jakub ties it up at 1 in the first again, or Rinaldo jams in a goal in garbage time.

I don't even want to go. I'll send my son with my mom-in-law. Poor kid, but he's resilient.

Unfortunately I was at the game where Brodeur broke Bernie's season wins record (*) last game of the year.

I think he's saying that, for a mid-round pick, Bishop would be a worthy piece to have on hand either way. He looks good, from what little I've seen.

Losing builds character. Burt Gordon as played by George C. Scott in The Hustler.
