You don't build a franchise in a new (albeit revisited) market by blowing out genuine stars, who are marketable and the kids love.
Methinks you seriously misunderstand the marketplace in Winnipeg.
The only way they trade Buff without the masses storming the Bastille is if there are 3 top line bonafide stars coming back, it wont happen, it would be a public relations nightmare.

Burmi is a good player...his value is definitely more than some people think and he is only 21....so he is not someone you just throw into a deal for the sake of getting rid of him. Obviously you have to watch him play a few games to see what he brings.

This is definitely true!! Sure people like to complain when he turns a puck over, but you can be sure he will try his best to make up for that. He is #1 with the fans for sure....so this entire Byfuglien rumour mill just doesn't make sense. Obviously every other team would like to have him, but hey, we have a list of guys we would like on the JETS too....man Stamkos would look good in a JETS jersey!!

Teravainen will NOT be traded, he is untoucahble and Saad is pretty close, but I could see consideration to move Saad IF a legit 2nd line center were available (which Iggy is not).

Don't get me wrong, I respect Jerome Iginla as much as any player in the league, but he won't be playing in Chicago. I'd love to have him, but Iggy is more a luxury for the Hawks and not a necessity. Adding his heart, character, and leadership would be nice, but we already got that. Sure, he'd add some grit and toughness, something the Hawks lack, but you don't deal the future for that.

We need a player/center who can win a damn faceoff and be part of our 2nd PP unit. I still like Bozak in Toronto to be a candidate for that role.

He's not untouchable, the Hawks would move him in a heartbeat, they are going to go all out to win the cup this year. Not saying he would be moved for Iggy, but he's gonna be dangled for someone.

"Who cares what Philly wants or needs"? Like it or not, if you look on the main hockeybuzz page the Flyer blogs always have the huge amounts of traffic compared to the other teams.

And, face the facts, players get traded. What and you don't think the Flyers are going after Buff? They always go after everyone, that's just how Homer does things. Doesn't mean it will come true.
