Indubitably.
I'd rather throw out 40 ideas than 0. Guess that is the Eklund in me. Too bad I didn't have the foresight to turn rubbish into a site generating ad revenue based on page hits. - FLflames34
Making stupid poop up and putting it on a blog post doesnt make it a rumour...

This team has caused me to be devoid of laughter or humor.
Until there is light, I live and die by the failure. Their failure is mine, and I theirs.
Tragic to the end.
Or, meh, it was aight, but I don't think it is a great indictment on the franchise. Just an extension of fact.
Good on him. |

keep on doing what you do b. its fun to play gm once and awhile, and i have no problem with people saying what they have to say with regards to trade preposals. im glad that you can call your self on bad trades or at least show your here for the purpose of this site. get informed, meet peeps have some fun.
its when people take it to seriously or think "they know" that you use your brain to crush them intellegently. after all, we arent feaster, we can only dream for a better flames. hey i love the flames but am a habs fan. ive had my fair share at taking it in the butt for a team i cheer for. finally they are playing great and have good personel. its unfortunate that flames managment doesnt take this seriously, its just a huge let down for the fans... sad really. |

um look at your team.... also ive live in calgary almost half my life... i know exactly what managment has done for the last 5 and its been a disservice to the fans... half the people that visit this site know full well whats happeneing. people have been saying that the flames will be in this exact spot for years. well look. they are.
when colin has to write " i have to try and bring some optimism" is him saying, (frank) this team is bad.. managemtn is bad and i have to try and look at the bright side of things... how about you stop take a look at what the (frank) kind of organisation the ownship have been running and youll see its nothing but a money game. (frank) success, just keep the money coming in.
flames managemnt and ownership would be ranked in the bottom 30 of the league and yes that is a disservice to the great fans and people of calagry. We are in acanada not f uc king ohio. flames organization has been a joke for years.. you grow upp.... |

absolutely not... say what ever you want to say.. some people will agree, some wont.. have fun. no one should get angry or put people down for poopty calls. sure call them out, have a chuckle but to bring it to a personal lvl is silly...

Maybe management hasn't made the best moves over the past few years, but I have never questioned their desire to win. The Flames are always a cap team, spending to the max. If anything, their desire to win has caused them to make poor decisions. |

2013 8G/22gms = 30G/82gms
2011/12 26G/67gms = 32G/82gms
2010/11 24G/79gms = 25G\82gms (ok he's off by 5....oooohhhh)
He's on the upswing. I can put in the math for you if you would like. A 25-30 goal scorer 3yrs running is worth around $4mil/per.

fair enough, and i agree, they have spent to the the cap. i was more refering to the unending excuse as to why they shouldnt trade kipper or iggy.. one of the worst is, cause it would affect ticket sales... gretzky was traded, throton was traded. people are traded. one player cant be bigger than the good of the team. hinesight is 20/20 but imagine the return for iggy 2-3 years ago. (frank)kk the flames would be way better off now. |
|
|
|
So, on to future things; if we managed to draft McKinnon and Barkov (based on my dream proposal earlier), and we move Bill Arnold to the RW we could have future lines looking like:
Baertschi- Barkov- McKinnon
Gaudreau- Jankowski- Arnold
Both smaller B and G would have larger centers and RW. That could be 2 large lines with speed, skill and physicality.
aaahhhhhh, to dream of the future............. |

Would they be though? It depends who they would have got, who they would have drafted etc. There aren't too many players out there like an Iginla, he's been with the team for 18 years, captain for as long as I can remember, always leads the team in scoring, always gets 30 goals. IMO you don't trade a guy like this until you are 100% sure it's not gonna work, and this is year we found this out.
You also fail to mention Iggy himself. At the end of the day it's his decision. He has a young family, this is his home, and he will always be a Flame no matter what happens. 2 or 3 years ago he wouldn't go anywhere, he has always wanted to be here, and will always want to win here.
It's not so easy bro. |

no i wont, like i said b4 its a mater of opinion. ive never like glenx and i think hes lazy. ill agree that his 2.5 is a great deal for potential 30 goals. still i wouldnt want him on my team, and hes not a legit 1st or 2nd on most teams. again imo. the fact he is on calgary illustrates the lack of quality on the team.
i was pointing out at the time that glenx's value is overated, again imo. |
