i dunno, they have always had a solid group. just poor direction. i dont base my opionins solely on the group of players only. i think alot of teams are suffering because of poor coaching to be honest. cest l'inverse pour calagry tho

ill give you that. but with the 3 rd line paring he might not be able to attain 30 goals. that being said our 3rd is galchenyuk, eller and rotation between bourque and prust. he could maybe get 30 with eller centering...

also i forgot to say id take prust at his money over glenx anyday... prust is 100 times more influencial or an impact in a game than glenx on most nights.

Maybe management hasn't made the best moves over the past few years, but I have never questioned their desire to win. The Flames are always a cap team, spending to the max. If anything, their desire to win has caused them to make poor decisions.

They are starting from a much better position. They have assets. They can do it much faster if they want. Edmonton kept the wrong guys to try to "build" around. Which is why they had a 5 year plan. Calgary could do it in 2 years.

I totally agree which is why I see it as imperative that CGY trades Iggy and a couple of others this year. Iggy especially because of his expiring contract.

No...They got lucky. Flames should have been down big time after 2 but stayed in it due to some luck and great goaltending. A few bounces in the third and they win.
But lets be honest...they were out played quite badly for the most part.
