Have to wait until trade deadline, I seem to recall Nonis saying they want to have a look at a few guys, I think he was referring to Ashton, Colborne and one other which slips my mind at the moment. - LeafMan[/quote]

I'm not arguing just stating possible reason. I want gards back up and Carlyle and his everyone plays the right side is dumb. If you have six Paul coffeys and six fraser's you play all the coffeys doesn't matter what hand they shoot - Yeti1181
The problem with carlyle he belives there has to be 3 R and 3L handed defenders, which he can run 2 of the lines with that except one. Which is not that big of a deal. |

I understand that Carlyle is committed to big, defensive defensemen, but surely there is somebody out there that fits that mould better than Holzer.
Not many players make me long for Komisarek, but he may be one of them. At least Komisarek would come out with something to prove.
And regarding Gardiner, if he doesn't fit in this system, then so be it. But hurry up and trade him then. Either get him in the lineup or use him to help acquire help at centre. |

Another guy who's faced the same wrath as Kadri did in much of Leaf's nation.
Time in the AHL for this young grasshopper will do him well.
I'd think that if Bozak goes this off season, Colborne has a decent shot at the no. 3 centre next year.
Hell, if we move Bozak at the dealine this year we may as well bring Joe up - AngryWhiteMale
I'm of the belief that Colborne is one of those guys who would actually do better with players who think the game at a higher level, one of those guys who puts up ok numbers in the AHL, can but those ok numbers will translate to similar numbers at the NHL level. But I agree with the earlier post about a defensive line too. |

Who cares if Gardnier is up. The Leafs are in the midst of there swoon dive 14th here we come. - Leafsfan9329
Goaltending and PK have been too good for us to fall far enough for a good pick.
If they don't survive this weekend, the drive for 9th is back on |

kinda the point. |

Pay attention to spacing and no j-roots. Replanting sucks! Can turn a 200-300 dollar day into a wasted day the very next day. Which company? I worked with Outland.

Gardiner is Fowler esque and he played the crap out of him as a rookie. Gardiner can easily fit in the system |

If I'm GM he's traded by 3pm today.....
21 yeard old kid who's played 50 decent games coming off a head injury....He and his agent can f off - tmlfan17
If I'm Gardiner, I probably tweet something like "I know there was some stuff said by my agent, but I want to make it clear I love helping contribute to the Marlies, working with Eakins, blahblahblah"
Make it clear you want to earn your way up honestly with hard work. Use the controversy and spin it in your favour. |

If the GM removes the option of playing Holzer and brings up Gardiner, he will play him, lol. |

I am him in a disguise.................. jokes In my opinion i feel for Jake, hes probably pissed off cause he knows hes better than the defenders playing, most of them, and who wouldn't be mad when he knows he can help the team? You got guys like holzer who's line is consistently scored on and is a -6, so much for a stay home defender. Id rather have gardiner as a -6 since he brings more to the table. Running 7 defenders is perfectly fine in and out of games, rotating gunner, holzer, kostka whoever is playing hot and cold
EDIT: my BAD hes a -8 |

yea they'd love me then haha..
But this gig looks like it might be a little harder to get than previously thought. Most place want experienced planters.. I just want to get with a small group who are cool and let you do what you want (cough cough).. Ill take the first place that offers me a job though... |

Aside from the first half of the PIT game, which Reimer goofed up(and a game he bounced back very well in) the tending hasn't actually been that bad.
We haven't had them steal us any points, but they've given us a chance to win games.
We can be so brain dead in our own zone though. Especially Dion |

The strive for 9th is already on with the loss last night and giving up 9 goals in regulation the last 2 games isn't exactly stellar goaltending. They will probably give up at least another 3 or 4 to Pitt on Thursday as well. |

Since when? This was not the case when he won a cup. - stormey
Since he doesn't have Neids and Pronger playing over half the game
He's said it on a few occassions after practices etc. He wants D on strong sides. |
