If Komarov can be trusted to be 4c then Im ok with your lines. But I doubt he will be.

Well it's not like they play much and if there's a faceoff in our zone throw bozak on for the draw and get him off when it's out

Well it's up to nonis to try and find other options he can't just deal bozak without getting a center back, and moving kadri to #1 and calling colborne up isn't a good enough option. I know people say patrik berglund might be available, I want stastny (prob cheaper then berglund), Derek Roy, mike Ribeiro, and Andy McDonald. Still think stastny best option
- matt1337

I wouldn`t even guess who goes and who comes in and or picks/prospects as Nonis would love to show Cope some playoff revenue and any moves made now are precursors to what they do at the draft for next season.

Yup and like you said only 2 and a half weeks till we find out what happens. I think nonis will learn from last year though how we fell off the cliff when Burke didn't make a move so he might try and make one [/img]

Didn't they resign him for 5 years? Not 100% sure about this though, the signing I think was when he became gm

The board of directors never had any illusions of post season play this year as per Cope.

He was extended last summer..Long before Burke was fired...Nonis was the only option when they fired Burke given the timing...

If the Leafs miss the playoffs they will have a new GM and he will have his own coach to start next season...

Reality and what you would like to happen are very different but, maybe if we say it enough it might come true? I`ll try that with my lottery numbers

Well i suspect they like most think it's a big task to go from bottom 5 to a playoff team in 1 yr...

I expect big changes in the front office of the Leafs this summer if no playoff hockey..

It will be the first chance that the new MLSE ownership has to put it's mark on the team..

Jim Nill as the Leafs brand new GM would be quite the story next summer given the Wings and Leafs are about to be in the same division..

Made for TV i say...

As I surmised, Hens and Scabs will be a 3 point game. It was almost a given.

Colborne gets game winnner. 24 pts in 27 games. Might be that #1 C we've been looking for all along...

JVR Colborne Kessel
McClement Grabovski Kulemin
Lupul Kadri Frattin
Komarov Steckel Orr/McLaren

I honestly don't see that happening this summer even if the Leafs miss. Having said that, who saw Burke's end coming?

Even if the Leafs managed to find a way to miss the playoffs this year, neither Nonis nor Carlyle get fired. Burke didn't get fired for his years of incompetence. He got fired because the way he acted rubbed somebody the wrong way. Considering Nonis is the perfect pudgy corporate speaking GM, he wouldn't get fired either. Ticket prices went up across the board for MLSE teams by the way.

And Jim Nill leaving the Red Wings for a division rival? That's another one that isn't happening any time soon.

But 24/7 should be interesting either way.

Just end the bozak on the number 1 line experiment. I keep hearing about chemistry, what chemistry.....all I see is Kessel scoring points when he feels like and Bozak getting secondary assists or being dished an easy goal.

I want Gardiner up too. 3 straight losses, now is the time you can make a change I think.........move Kadri beside Kessel and Lupul......and call up Colborne.

Trade Kulemin too when Lupul comes back. Or move MacArthur.

if he’s going to continue using Grabos line as a shutdown line I’d rather see McClement up there. I think MacArthur/Kulemin go beside Colborne .

Kessel – Kadri – Lupul
JVR – Grabo – McClement
Frattin – Colborne – MacArthur/Kulemin---one or the other
Orr/Komarov – Steckel – McLaren

Phaneuf – Franson
Gardiner - Gunnarson
Fraser - Kostka

yeah, way more honorable to go into Winnipeg and lose by 3 goals, like a real hockey team..

I was just reading the Tim Panaccio blog about the Flyers needing to win 16 of the next 21 games to get in the playoffs...So 57 points.

So does that mean the Leafs need to win say roughly 13 out of 21 games?

Whats that 60-70 % of their games?

Just curious guys,anyone know?

Generally speaking, the magic number is usually 90 to 92 points in an 82 game season. Let's just say 91 points. That's roughly 1.11 points per game. In a 48 game schedule, that's roughly between 53 and 54 points.

57 points? no way. 53-54 should do it.
