And watch him go 2 Boston ?
I'm all for getting him as a ufa but it will be a blood bath outbidding other teams - The_Vark
Its not all about money, 7-8M is substantial enough for how many years he wants to stay, its about where he wants to go. The money is a given I doubt hes greedy cough jagr |

He would be the perfect winger for Kadri. Both little weasels (even though Perry is pretty big). - stormey
Perry-Kadri-Komarov would be the most irritating line in the NHL to play against. They're all so chippy haha |

Higher than Frason?... ya never said otherwise. He said "oppostions best players" which is laughable. Phaneuf and Gunnarson were the top pairing for most of year, and this shows that pretty clearly.
quoting from the article:
as an offensive defenseman - Big_Lightnin[Gardiner] was protected by coaching from tougher defensive situations
Yeah I was just saying Gardiner played against higher quality than Franson.
Both had filled in blue circles I might add.

were you also on the dump Kadri train? that was Full also in the summer - senstroll
He wasn't. He was actually on my side most of the times I got into it with TFT about whether Kadri was strong enough to play in the NHL.
Its pretty cool how on some players certain guys agree on, and on others they go at it. It should never be personal though, and I guess thats where the refs come into it. |

absolutely agree...
my "of course it does" was entirely sarcastic because of the poster who said it. He likes his trade ideas to favour the Leafs by a pretty homeriffic amount - Big_Lightnin

He did play against the opposition's best players but, only in the offensive zone. I've admitted my mistakes. - Lipchitz

Kadri was no where near as weak as what Ronnie had us think. And while we are on it what has Eakins done?
I'm all for young guys in the lineup if they can play at this level. I think Reilly will make us go "Jake who?" |

Really think that was Eakins? And that playing in the NHL he wouldn't have got there quicker? And even if it was all Eakins, one player? |

I'm one of those that wanted Kadri up with the Leafs from the start, Kadri has high praise for Eakins so he must have done something for him. |

Perry does it all, you have to overpay to get those guys. There is a dearth of front-line C in FA this year and there are a few wingers. It might make sense to target a C for that package instead. However, that deal may never materialize and if you can get a player like Perry, you do it. |

I'd like to think if we are using Kessel and Gardiner in a package for Perry, couldn't we get a 1C for that or a touch more? Shift Grabo to the wing.
JVR-1C-Grabo
Lupul-Kadri-Frattin
Macart-Bozak-Kulimen
Komarov-Mcclement-Orr/Mclaren
? - markmark
This. So much this.
The wingers aren't an issue. Between Frattin, Kessel, JVR, Lupul, Grabovski, Kulemin, and MacArthur, I find it hard to believe we couldn't come up with 4 guys to play the wing in our top six.
Trade for Perry and we're still in the same boat, only with a better winger (who is also older and costs more).
I would hesitate to make any big moves until the #1C issue is resolved. Go grab Stastny for cheap and see what happens.
Gardiner for Stastny (seeing as Gards doesn't seem to fit, anyway). |

Kotska, Fraser, Komarov, Kadri, Frattin, Orr and Gardiner, he has done some good getting them ready. |

Why does Carlyle have Bozak on the ice more then any other forward if he's so bad?

Not everyone has to be scary on defense. Was lidstrom a scary player now. Was pronger, yes. So you make guys who look scary play on their line. Those guys are our future. Guys like holzer kostka fraser probably wont even be around anymore when those guys are set in stone here |

Statsny only makes sense if you can dump a bad contract like Komi in the process.
