Franson was a -1 D-man in 56GP at ~16min per night against the other teams weakest players. Woop dee freaking doo. Gardiner averaged +20min per night and was -2 against the other teams best players .

Iunno i think its harder to score on the RD if your a Left handed shooter, but if Mccabe can do it and phaneuf has done it before, he should be capable of playing both sides, you are right for that too

The crux of the discussion was the dilema that the Ducks are in, challenging for the Cup this year and quite possible losing Perry. The feeling is that they need someone who can contribute significantly today if they trade Perry. That is where Kessel comes in, who is also signed for another year. The enticer being Gardiner who is loved by both Boudreau and our former GM, who now works with the Ducks.
