Are you all Cathloics. The church has taken reall beating in the Maritimes, Many, Many closures. 26 Catholic churches in Halifax alone last year.

Not religious myself. don't care who the next Pope is.

- bixll

raised protestant.. dont practice religion in my adulthood.. but this new pope is going to be one of the most important people in the world moving forward for the next decade or more

that's not the choice though, so doesn't matter.

Carlyle's MO is that they play different positions.

- Big_Lightnin

Carlyles motives of having holzer is useless. Bro hes big and tough. Congrats, we have fraser and phaneuf who play a better game. The guy is inexperienced, as a 7th d-man rotating would be arguably fine

Nope not all - and yes some probably are...No religion talks on here - just a human interest story is all. End of story...sorry I brought it up.
- Your_Mom

Didn't bother me if you brought it up, I have seen many posts today regarding this subject. Seems like many are following it.

To me, I stay to myself and let people have their own veiws on that subject and Politics.

A little late to the thread, but what do Leaf fans think of Gardnier for Nino (NYI)?

Leafs need more size and NYI need more D?

Both players unhappy in the AHL and would likely get a roster spot in the nHL right away if the trade was made.

Good fit?

Gardiner is one of the smoothest skaters, would set up the play more and last year he did amazing, so you're logic is irrelevant

Why, is he going to start to sell off the poop at the Vadican?

If not, I fail to see why he is important to begin with.

Lmao. Dude fact is he's terrible in his own end. He skates well with the puck I'll give him that but he isn't even a great passer from his own end. Watch a game not the stat sheet.

Fraser and Phaneuf also play LD, Holzer plays RD.

If Holzer comes out, Komi goes in.
Not Gardiner (or Liles).

So do we now refer to the old Pope as Ex-Benedict?

Not that it means much at all but Gardiner did lead Leafs' D in +/- last season. He isn't that bad in his own end.

Gardiner will be a Leaf...he's just got to hang on to his wee willy for a couple weeks, dominate in the A in the meantime and he'll be up there quicker than you can say The Oliers have missed the playoffs again.

First Pope to quite in over 200 years... Seems like an easy gig to me, They thought the last guy was dead for 7 years, before he did pass away.. He was a lively leader.. Loved his passion.

i did watch him last year, arguably one of our better defenders that are "useful", despite even if he needs some work on his own end, hes better than guys like kostka or holzer taking up a spot
