Panotch? hes the qorst i think
- Philly1980

I've read Larry Brooks for a long time and the vitriol a lot of the commenters here reserve for Panotch, I reserve for Larry Brooks. I love watching Torts rip Brooks.

See? Alexander Daigle isn't suggested as the answer, and you're infinitely happier because of it. AMIRITE

I hate that as well. I also hate the way our defense goes after loose pucks in our own zone. Rather than moving it out of the zone immediately, or chipping it up the boards, our D men often trap it against the wall for a few seconds ... seemingly waiting for an attacking forward to come in and battle them for it. I just don't get that approach at all.

Who scored the GWG the day the Flyers fired/demoted Wayne Cashman?

didn't see lindros in the celebration ... guess he was out with an injury.

I actually miss Dorny announcing ... would trade him for Coatsy anyday.

Coburn should be getting better he's in his prime years, unfortunately he's going the wrong way.

Going the wrong way alright...down the crapper into the sewage treatment plant!

Buffalo dispatched the Rags in short order last night, while playing their backup goaltender. Tortorella didn't make the necessary adjustments.
- PLindbergh31

And Columbus beat the red Wings recently. You're comparing one game to 25 games played. Do you honestly think that's a valid comparison?

Most annoying of all involved in the CSN Philly broadcasts...is he three sheets to the wind most times?

Right because Alexander Daigle scored how many goals and had how many points in junior? Guy didn't have a stellar NHL career by a long shot Big time success in junior doesn't always equal success in the NHL, either scoring or on the defensive side. There are always examples of average players in junior hockey that became bonafide NHL stars too. It works both ways! I wouldn't guesstimate or compare the two until Laughton has played two NHL seasons...
- aantny88

C'mon, he played in the Q where every two points is worth one in the OHL and half a point in the WHL.

Alexander Daigle is never the answer.
Doesn't matter what the question is.

- jmatchett

Speaking of Daigle...was looking at some Pronger stuff yesterday and realized that all 3 of the top three picks in the 1993 NHL draft suited up for Philly at one point or another:

1. Doggle
2. Christopher Pronger
3. Christopher Gratton

Yeah I'd take Pronger over Doggle and Gratton any day

He didn't seem too happy with Sam Rosen after the game either..."I'm tired of answering the questions...ask the players...what did they say?"

I'd take Sam Rosen's side against Torts every day of the week. Love Rosen's announcing and demeanor.

Speaking of Gratton, I heard his name come up yesterday because when Nnamdi Asomugha was let go by the Eagles, the conversation turned to "Who were the worst Philadelphia free agents ever signed?".

Chris Gratton has gotta be on that list.

That's what happens when defenseman have no support, and have no where to go with the puck. So rather then throw it somewhere blindly, they eat it.

I've seen them do that even when there's no attacking forward right on them. They often have time to move the puck, but instead just trap it against the boards.

I bet it happens 10 times tonight.
