This is a huge two game series. Close to playoff intensity. Have a feeling that one team is going to sweep both games. If it happens it will be the key moment of the year for both teams. The team that wins makes the playoffs. The team that loses starts dreaming about the lottery.

I think the Flyers find their game, get good goaltending and take all 4 points.

If the Flyers win these two and make the play offs, you could say that Brayden Schenn's save of the game tying goal against the Sabres was the turning point in the season.

Because someone whose first language isn't English is obviously handicapped somehow.

He's a goalie, I'm surprised he can do math just because of that.

The Flyers can very easily take all 4 points.
Whether or not they do is a different matter entirely.

Spent all morning holding my baby daughter. Need to get that time in before I head back to Philly area for the rest of the season.
- bmeltzer

There were a lot of babys in here that needed holding this morning as well.... Cant blame you for picking your daughter! Congrats on the kid bill!

Long time J.Bo fan here. He is going to make a big difference to a team before this season is over.
- spatso

I just hope it isn't the Flyers. For once in decades, I hope they stick to the plan they're going with. Absolutely no move at this point in the season is going to win them a cup, let alone guarantee them a trip to playoffs. So instead of selling half the team for a spotty JBo, I'd sooner have them wait it out, and address needs in the offseason if they have to.

People just need to deal with the fact that they aren't winning the cup this season. It's just the way it is. But making emotional, spur of the moment moves rarely works out well for this team. So I'm hoping the stick with the plan for now.

Zero excuse not to come away with two points tonight. Look at that Devils lineup. Two guys Lamoriello picked up for a bag of pucks on the first line. Stiffs like Barch, and Kostopolous who was just picked up off the waiver wire.

Hedberg has been a joke since Broduer has gone down. Having seasons come to an end at the hands of NJ is really getting old. Better not happen again tonight.

Beyond the playoff implications their is no valid reason for a loss unless something horrible happens like Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, Pitbull, Hartnell, Grossman and Bryz all get hurt at the same time.

I think this Flyers team is about as close to healthy as it is going to get and the Devils do a few injuries..

Here we go!!! Pitbull fistpump since I dont remember how to link videos.

If they lose tonight, it's Laviolette's fault for not making "adjustments".

Don't we have a spare Jon Sim lying around we can toss in this deal?

Like implanting control devices into each player, so he can actually play for them?

Not trying to start a rumor but does anyone think Gus getting sent down has anything to it, other then the normal reasons to be sent down...it just kinda surprised me

Bill I have a question for you..

The system Lavy runs, does this also include the way our forwards collapse low in our end? Seems the teams we play have very good puck possession in our end due to alot of them figuring out that their teams D-men are allowed so much time at the points. I know we block alot of those shot attempts, but if you watch closely the amount of space they are allowed is crazy. Why not pressure these point men instead of allowing them to keep firing pucks at the net withouit being harassed or atleast have the forwards stay high on them?

- Buzzo

the Flyers aren't the only team that plays that way.

More than anything, I hate that they send 3 guys in deep, sometimes all 3 below the damn goal line, in the O zone

Yes, but the Flyers misplaced the software needed to program him for preseason mode.

Exactly. Each player has a micro-chip inside them, Laviolette controls all of them from a control panel he has behind the bench.

Handful of reasons:

1. With a healthy Meszaros, there's 8 defensemen on the roster
2. Gustafsson is waivers exempt, where Foster and Gervias would have to clear.
3. Clears a roster spot for Harry Z to burn a couple games off his sentence

For once, what Bryz said yesterday has not been taken out of context and he was spot on, as you are in this assessment of the importance of these two games!
- aantny88

of course it was, he is Bryz. anyone else says that and they would be lauded

That's been the issue all year. No matter how you slice it, I think we have to write this year off as a stunted abnormality. If Coots and co have to have a sophomore slump, I think this shortened year is the year to do it.
