Not sure how a primadona who wants $9M per for 7 years is gonna work out here. I'd rather they stick with what they have up front and go after guys like Andrew Ference, Ian White, Rob Scuderi, and Douglas Murray, and maybe bring in a real backup (Mason, Harding, Threeormore, other Mason).
- jmatchett

Maybe that is best, but as a flyers fan you know they go after the best available when the funds are there and they will be

They could have left from Voorhees, and there's a few guys that live in Philly.

Also, it's easier to drive from Cherry Hill to Newark than it is to drive from Cherry Hill to Philly? I used to be able to get from Cherry Hill to South Philly in about 20 minutes, with no hassles.

- Jsaquella

I live in Cherry Hill and there's no effing way I'd drive to Newark if I could ever avoid it.

1.) Newark is much further than anyone seems to think it is.

2.) Driving the NJ Turnpike can be awful if traffic isn't moving. Which can happen during the weirdest times.

I used to work up near the Rt. 1 corridor in Mercer County and I'd rather eat my own liver than drive further North into New Jersey; especially during rush hour.

Don't be fooled by both Voorhees and Newark both being in New Jersey; Newark might as well be in another state.

I've driven there twice. The North NJ road system makes zero sense. I had to take an exit off of Route 1 Bus./Route 9 North (actually exit, not continue) to get onto Route 1 Bus./Route 9 North, then do the same exact thing. Roads just turn into other roads for no reason. Not to mention parking in Newark is about as sketchy as it gets.

I've taken the train to get there and taking a bus (like the players do) makes a ton of sense.

But an individual player driving themselves to a game in Newark from Voorhees/South Jersey/Philly would be just silly.

last year I had to attend the funeral of my g/f's dad, and it was in some little place just outside of Newark. The directions took me through Newark ... and of course, I missed the turn and ended up in some VERY bad looking areas. Man, I was scared to death.

I used to have to drive to Carteret 4 times a week, and the Turnpike was the only good way...I hated that drive.

They already have plenty of defenseman similar to Murray, Ference, and Scuderi. White is just okay. This team needs a dynamic 2 way puck moving defenseman. Who can control the puck and the flow of the game from the back end. Hard to obtain, but it's a weakness on this team. Now I wouldn't mind some of those players if there were other moves to be made. Such as trading Coburn as an example. But they really need that puck mover. And as much as I'm a fan of a player like Carle. I'd prefer more of a lead defenseman.

meant to ask that guy who wrote that book just one simple question...Do you have a job, sir???
Surely you can't write all that and actually be employed, on a weekday!

I'll be honest, I was impressed enough with it's length and quotes and links to give it a try but once the YouTube video links started popping up I had to bail.

I really think people underrate the ability of the defensemen on the Flyers to move the puck. I disagree with those who think that this issue the team's main problem. I'm not saying they are all offensive dynamos, but the Flyers D corps aren't the immobile, inept at puck moving group that some think they are.

Let's review................

Let's get frisky.

Me and the fiance have been talking about this for a while, but for anyone that would have an idea how hard would it be as a nurse (she is a health care aide) to move into the States and establish a life and get work.

Lava being fired will lead to the first 10,000 page thread.

edit: trying not to use the laughing icon so much. I feel I'm overusing it greatly. Can EVERY little thing really be funny, flyerguy?

As opposed to a Bryz buyout, which would simply lead to eternal SCALR.
