He's already tougher than Nino and most of our current forwards. Wait till he develops & puts on some size. He's ahead of schedule. Could seriously be here next season. Kings would laugh at this trade. ko might not crack the lineup, dont they already have stoll as their third line center? nabby would only be a 1 year backup? they gain nothing from this and lose out on draft picks...

One thing from the last thread....the reason you make Tavares the captain is the same reason Crosby is the captain of his team- Tavares is one of the players in this league who people come to see. Those kind of guys have a lot more clout with the officials than a decent player like Streit. The NHL has always been funny about a lot of things, and this is one of them- might as well take advantage of it. If you have a superstar, you make sure he's the one who gets to yap at the refs.

Why would buff do that. Option 2 even more laughable. U realize that either vanek and stafford would be are 2nd best forward. Stafford playing with Tavares would make moulson an afterthought. And I like moulson.

Three trades opportunities for Islanders

1) Okposo, Nielsen and a 2nd 2013 and 2nd 2014 for Myers

2) Nielsen, Okposo, Bailey and 1st round/2nd round 2013 and 2nd round 2014 for Byfuglien, Evander Kane and a 4th and 6th round 2013.

3) Okposo and Nielsen and 3rd round pick for Myers

Plus they are looking for W and D, thats where KO comes into play, young enough on a reasonable salary, plus playing with better talent, and coaching...
Nabby is only insurance for this yrs playoffs for them...
