hopefully that qwells the people on this site pondering/willing to trade Strome as part of a package for anyone not named Stamkos, Weber, Chara, Crosby or Malkin.
He should be the 2nd best forward/center on this team behind Johnny. No way we wanna give that up. Sub-par coaching will still be a problem no matter how much talent we have coming up, tho. I can't believe Garth believes Capuano is the best possible/available coach for this team. He just wants his puppet who won't ask questions, argue or flip him a much-deserved BIRD when the occasion arises. That, or he is a complete moron. The excuse that the "system" is the reason Cappy has the job is BS and can no longer be argued. What system? The system of losing? Inconsistency? Taking nights off? Those systems I do agree, Cappy has a firm grasp of. We need a coach who knows about WINNING. Fcuking drives me crazy. |

The worst thing about it is we will see RDP again on this team. If they're not gonna use the amnesty buyout he'll get another chance (next season) or a call up if Nabby gets injured. This is just a vacation for us from him. - jmo16

anyone else hoping DP stinks up the rest of the year in BP so we never have to see him again? God help us if he goes on a winning streak. - Isles_since_6
I'm praying that bum never plays another game for the isles ever again. |

DP is 3-2 in bridgeport and still a sub .900 save % and over 3GAA. this guys is long from ready to ever play in NHL again. I think last game was first time he didnt give up 3 goals or more in game.

They shouldn't even consider it unless he leads the league in shutouts and GAA FOR A FULL SEASON. Perhaps they can salvage him into a legit nhl backup. Tho with Garth's assessment of other talent and Charles' man-crush on rick, we can't rule anything out. |

@coreypronman: In OHL East Conf. coaches poll #Isles Strome named best stick handler, best passer, smartest player & best shootout player - eichiefs9

I doubt very much Strome will be traded people can talk all they want. It would have to be a pretty significant offer. I hope Strome turns out, having him as our second line center and if Frans sticks around as our third we'd be real strong down the middle. Get rid of some of our dead weight and add a op six winger our forward corps could look good. I agree with you, it's been time for over a year for a coaching change. That guy being behind the bench every night is at this point insulting to the fans and most of all the players that signed with this team. It makes this team look even more unprofessional in every sense if possible. |

I agree Strome is not being traded. I'm going to shock some by going against my Wolfpack brother. We can move Frans as Casey is good enough as #3 and Strome is #2 center. |

Terrible defense and goaltending. With the exception of Schultz, that team is all offense. - NYIDRIVE4FIVE

Right and maybe Lee. I think the time is now to move Frans for another part we need. Have to start making room for these prospects. Someone has to go and why not someone that may have some value to other teams. |

I agree as long as these kids turn out being good players. It's OK to have "ifs" as long as you have multiple "ifs", law of averages. |

If he's part of a package for a bigger piece than fine but giving him up for a second round pick does'nt jive well with me |

I agree no 2nd pick for Frans. All is right with the world again as the Wolfpack brothers agree

True but with Isles management are we trully desperate for anything? Hopefully Strome takes care of the #2 problem in October. |

that works. I think Brock is going to develop beyond initial projections. Garth's ability to judge young talent may be his best(only) strength. That said, why doesn't he promote himself to Head scout and hire a new GM - someone not currently on payroll? |

I see Brock as a top 6 guy. He may need to move to wing though on the Isles if Strome is #2 center. Love your idea about Garth |
