They won't bring anyone of value in this summer. Snow is under the impression that this is a playoff team... - kear20
Boyes will get an extension he is the power Forward that Tavares needs |

I find it funny with the trade gossip on here and the who the Islanders will sign next year. I wonder if anyone noticed that we have not had a top free agent sign here since God knows when. I dont know why people think next year the light bulb in Garths little brain will go off |

Well if they say it enough times one of these years they'll be right. Right? Maybe? Maybe not? I get they're way of thinking to an extent but Snow has found a way of wiggeling out of "having" to sign someone or trade for a FA. We all know where i stand on this topic and I believe next year will be more of the same. I also think he will be the same GM we have now when we are in Brooklyn if he is unfortunately our GM when we make the move? Once people understand that Snow has the attitude that he's smarter than everyone else and his unorthodox ways of doing things will set a precedent for the rest of the league they'll realize. Snow is who he is with or without Wang whether some fans want to believe it or not. I get the impression that fans and the rest of the league saying he has to do something will almost further him from straying from the norm just to go against the grain. This is of course just my opinion though he has done everything to help this notion.
It's going to be funny to hear the reasoning on here when he does nothing this offseason and continues to do little to nothing when we are in Brooklyn if once again he is still our GM? IMO he needs to find a middle ground in his "style". He always goes to extremes to cover mistakes, last years draft is a good example. Not trading for players in their contract year is another example(aka. Ryan Smyth). Learn from mistakes but the almost adolescent knee jerk reactions this guy makes is ridiculously unprofessional looking from the outside. The fans and certainly the rest of the league sees this as unprofessional and no one wants to be a part of that. Nobody wants him to trade the farm but he needs to find a way of adding legitimate NHL players to this roster that can truly help this team. The draft alone will not build a competitive team as we are all aware. Hopefully one of these years the Snow birds will be right... |

Could not have said it better myself
He is very arrogant and you can tell from his interviews like how dare you question my team. Well here is news article for Garth "YOUR TEAM SUCKS!!" Sometimes you must humble yourself and be like you know what I made some bad choices. Unfortuantely Garth will never do that |

Up front, we know Snow will do nothing. Up front, he's going to have Strome and Nino filling in top six slots, and the other four top-six spots will go to JT, MM, Grabs and one other guy, either Boyes coming back or some other similar alternative. Hopefully, Snow is smart enough to realize that KO and Bailey are not the answers and will either trade/release both or will only pencil them in on the 3rd line with Nielsen. Fourth line is pretty much set with Cizikas, Martin and Ullstrom or someone like that.
On the back line, Snow again has his "top six" likely in place already. If he re-signs Streit, he will bring him back, along with Hamonic, A-Mac, Strait, Carkner and will have two spots open for free agent additions (not likely) or a mish mosh of Finley, Hickey, Donovan, de Haan (if he's ever healthy enough to play again) etc.
Snow will not be active on the FA market. The place for him to be active is in the trade market. Hopefully, he can move some of the dead wood under team control next season (Bailey, KO, A-Mac) out and bring in something worth while, even if it means giving up some picks/prospects to do it. |

I'd say Byfuglen, but he's bigger all over. Joensuu's t!tt!es are much bigger proportionally. More impressed with Joensuu's.
