Actually it's the no-line line at the present.

I counted about 18 or so injuries (including 6 times on IR) in his career. I really like the guy but the injuries coupled with the $$ are coming back to haunt us somewhat.

Of course, the FO expertise is nice but ...

My support is that this roster is total crap. Please tell me one coach in this league that could make this team good right now. If you cannot name one guy, then stop the fire Trotz tirade.

This team has MAYBE two players that deserve to be on the 1st line of an NHL team in Wilson and Hornqvist. And even those two are both iffy. I like Mike Fisher, but he is a 2nd line center AT BEST in the NHL and would play on the 3rd line on a ton of teams. Legwand is a 3rd line center...a good one...but he is not a scoring centerman. He gets points because of his ice time...not his talent. Erat and Tits are probably both nearly done playing at this level. Neither of these players appear interested and it won't be long until NHL coaches see that. The rest are either very young or they are simply career grinders in the NHL.

We have an elite blueliner in Weber and a decent 3/4 guy in Klein. Past that, our blueline is either too young (Ellis,Josi), too old(Hannan,Gill), or too untalented (Blum, Barkley) for this level. Our blueline SUCKS. If Weber were to go down with an injury, this team would tank in a heartbeat.

You cannot win games at a high level with low level talent all of the time. Trotz has done some AMAZING things with the rosters we have had, but he has nothing to work with this year.

Trotz is the perfect coach for this market. He will usually coach his teams to overachieve on their talent level. The Preds are and always will be a small market team. We will more than likely NEVER have superstars in their prime come here as free agents. The coach that will be successful will be the one that does more with less. That is Barry Trotz.

I'm a day one season ticket holder, I've watched Trotz. I've been there almost every game. His line changes or lack there of, his favorites vs. the dog house players, his screwing things up when they are actually working. He's a great guy as a person. He's done well at times. I just believe if nothing changes, nothing changes and its time for a change, in my view. But have no worries, ye Trotz lovers, he'll never go until he decides to go and we'll never get any farther than round 2. No sense beating a dead horse. Keep on worshipping at the Trotz trough. Somebody's got to.

Anyone that knows me knows that I am not a huge Trotz supporter. But to blame him for what is going on is unfair. Half of this roster deserves to be in the AHL or just retired from hockey.

Trotz pisses me off when we actually have talent...we don't have that right now. We arguably have two good players...and only one has a chance at scoring goals.

Kostistyn just straight up quit on that play. Wow. Left Rinne out to dry. If he isn't benched for the next game then I've lost all respect for this coaching staff and front office. Pitiful.

Erat is pretty much worthless now. He is a turnover waiting to happen.

Agree! I couldn't even believe that one. He just showed 100% quit. Weber should take him out in the back alley and beat the living daylights out of him for hanging the team out to dry like that. Obviously I kid, but one can dream, right?

He's never impressed me with his smarts - that monster gaffe doesn't help his case. He even turned around and watched the play unfold before he was off the ice.

Regarding all the Fire Trotz banter earlier, I never advocated firing the coach. I merely pointed out what increasingly a detrimental flaw in his coaching style this season. He does have a crappy roster to deal with, even when our best players aren't injured.

I think making any moves regarding Trotz or Poile based on this season would be a huge mistake. Let's just ride out this season, get our draft pick and come back strong next year. This team isn't making the playoffs so we all need to quit stressing about their position in the standings.

The goal scored when Kostitsyn quit on the play was the difference in the game. Just ship him, Legwand, and Erat off to any team that will send draft picks back. Time to rebuild this thing. It ain't working even with Hornquist, Wilson, and Guastad healthy, although having them available certainly wouldn't hurt.
