The Clunatic has really grown on me. His interviews are absolute gold. I love how he had no problem calling out Dallas in his interview on The Game yesterday. Hilarious, and probably bulletin board material for the Stars.

Maybe Clune is the droid we've been looking for after all. As long as he doesn't fight, he's pretty damn effective.

I know, 2 weeks ago i was asking why DP picked up this POS now I am seeing someone who actually has some ability. Burnside's piece actually explains why he was on waivers and all that stuff. Just hope he is able to stay clean and continue to contribute

I actually still had doubts until this last homestand, and the Dallas game just solidified things for me. Right now, I'm a fan. I will maintain, however, that he's much more valuable to us playing rather than fighting. While I admire that he's fearless, he's a horrible fighter, there's no denying that.

So in a weird little twist, I guess we traded Muzzin for Clune. We had Jake Muzzin in camp last season and just dismissed him. Now he's flourishing for the Kings. Kings placed Clune on waivers, now he's flourishing for the Preds.

about time you all came around.

it doesn't always looks pretty but the guy has heart and produces and continually seem to be one of the only guys on this struggling team that gives a sh!t every shift.

you can hate on the fighting (clune's) but i thought the dallas game was good for our team, other than no one standing up for Colin Wilson when he got knocked out.

at some point, a team either stands together and up for themselves, or they fall apart.

Actually, it was that big-ass Falk for the Wild that took out Wilson in last Saturday's home game.

Meanwhile, I thought Preds did a good job sticking up for themselves in the Dallas game. (Listen to the comments on that by Clune.)

I was a fan (Clunatic) several games ago. He is 110% energy 100% of the time. His bruised face is emblematic of the hard work and dedication others on the team should have.

Yeah, I'm totally guilty as charged. I couldn't see his worth due to his crappy fights, which I viewed as an embarrassment. I guess I was seeing him as a very weak replacement for Tootoo, but I'm wrong on that count too.

Not only is he starting to capture the fans the way Tootoo did (still a long way to go there, but the train is moving), but offensively he has more upside.

To be fair, I do believe this team was missing Tootoo's energy early on. The off-season departures seemed to have depleted the soul of this team. They were going through the motions for the most part. Last night was the first time since last season that I really felt like the team came together and played for each other rather than each individual trying to do his own thing the way Trotz wants him to.

When they play for each other they're more uptempo and exciting. When they don't we get more of this:

Huggy Bear & Gabby skated with my boys at one of their practices, he actually talked to the boys & helped them as much as you can with 7-8 year olds. One of my boys is a ham, he had Rich cutting up. We ran into Rich downstairs after one of games a couple of days later, he remembered my son's name & gave him a stick. We have several player's sticks but this is the only one he has by his bed. The article was great & need to be shared with others. Clune, Tootoo & McGratten will have struggles day to day like most of us but all three have been wonderful to the children which I can say is not true with several of the Preds, some are still with us.

Don't forget about Cory Conacher, he was with the Ads.

Next game, Hannan or Ellis needs to sit! Blum can't be much worse. Weber needs to stop fighting & Rinne has to stop handling the damn puck!!!! I guess they are trying to piss off BT & DP.

Yes, Matt Halischuk got the message! 2 goals in 2 games. Can the preds send Legwand to Milwaukee for a conditioning assignment. Erat gets a pass since he is not 100%.

Edit: Erat sucks too!!! hell throw in the purse holder & the russian gigolo.

I have no idea why Pekka's puck handling hasn't been addressed this season. It's been atrocious and that goes all the way back to the KHL.

Hannan/Ellis pairing is horrible. Hannan has been horrible lately. What happened to that guy? He was solid early in the year.

Terrible call on that last goal. I don't even know how the ref could see the puck and make that call.

Some goalies just cant play in certain buildings. Luongos the same way in Minny. He gets lit up everytime he's there. For the last year Schneider has played every game in minnesota.

Beck has 11 goals & 29 assists in Milwaukee & Mueller gets called up? Is Fenton dumber than DP?

They seem really adverse to making any true call-ups this season. I'm going to go with the fact that Mueller has been with the Preds and played in their system before as being the reason he was called up.

Pekka didn't have it last night, so it was up to the rest of the team to pick him up. While scoring 4 goals is nice, it would have been even sweeter if they basically didn't put 2 in their own net. The Ellis own goal was atrocious. He's still not quite ready for full time d-man duty. Pairing him with a mediocre Scott Hannan is an unforgiveable coaching blunder.

Must win tonight. They are simply running out of games and time to continue this trend of paddling water and playing .500 hockey. I suppose if there's a season where it's not horrible to be mediocre it's this one, because a full 82 games of this crap would be intolerable. I sincerely hope there's a plan to get better next year and not with more minor leaguers and waiver pickups.

Let's face it, this an AHL team with a few legit NHL guys sprinkled in a few has been NHL guys who should in the car pool right now. Bring up Beck & Watson & see what they can do. I would love to see Watson-Smith-Kostitsyn. Maybe Elkholm?

If sitting Halischuk can wake him up! I know a few other preds who need to get kicked in the pants! I hope Matty Ice didn't take anything illegal in Milwaukee. He has been one of the best players the last 2 games.

Don't rush back Wilson or Gaustad, sit Goose for the rest of the year if his shoulder keeps popping out. The preds will need him healthy next year. Really don't know what to think about Erat. Either he is playing in major pain & can't sit because of injuries to other players or he is over the concussion from last year. He is not on the same page.

BT knew the preds had a back to back, why did he play Peks? Damn near walk out of the building with a point last night. Everybody knows Sista Sedin was going to pass & not shoot. The refs let a lot of stuff slide for the Nucks. Klein got trucked on a play when the puck was no where near the play. You know he was pissed! I don't blame him for fighting. I'm done female doging!
