Two tops 5's is pretty tough to do. Acummulate the picks and on draft day trade em around get 1 in top 5 1 in top 10 bam - hubie
Well that on top of their draft pick (assuming they actually play smart and tank) would work pretty well I'd say. As much as I think Darcy sucks I do think he could pull it off (if we still have him). Hell, getting a 1st rounder for Gaustad I suppose anything is possible.
I think I'm most curious to see what we could get for Miller. He does have some serious value since he is still considered "elite" but at the same time the goalie market isn't exactly booming. |

it fills a need and we arent getting a world beater
I wanted Connor Barwin (had a major man crush on him in his college days) - hubie
Lawson has good size and is pretty quick. Maybe Pettine/Marrone know more about him than we fans do and feel he'll be a good fit in the system.
I hope they're right. |

It's a depth signing. They want athletes that can play different places along the front seven. Lawson is an athlete. Not mad at this signing. |

As are the Red Wings, won't be easy to move him. No way he would go to any of those other teams besides Tampa. - SABRES 89
Well no one really wants to take on his contract and then have to resign him to god-knows what he'll ask for. He might fit in Tampa, I could see that working out. |

Since Tampa sux as bad as we do he would prob reject it. Detroit or bust with Miller. Dark horse San Jose? |

Miller and Stafford for Niemi and Clowe? |

And if that really bothers our current players then they need to be shipped out. A team that's dead last in PP and the opposing team scores a SH goal and you don't expect people to boo? At least the fans realize this team sucks, I'd rather have that then a crowd that supports losing. - buffalokb
I dont expect people to boo when we are leading 2-1 after the second. I love how fans rationalize booing but god forbid they act positive at games at cheer for their team. I want them to lose the rest of their games this season and get the best pick possible but when I'm at games I cheer for them to win.
We could get into the whole "give us something to cheer about" argument, but all it turns into is a chicken or the egg debate over if the fans cheer does it motivate the team to do better or does the team need to do better to motivate the fans to cheer. I never got if you dont enjoy the team or going to games to the point where you cant even cheer then why pay the money? |
