Really? EVERYONE knows that?

Why would you wanna trade a guy that scored 31 goals in 62 games for picks? Its easy to say that now.

- Homer

Because he had an OBVOUUS history of being streaky and inconsistant. I was BEGGING for the sabres to trade him that year. I thought Regier could rob someone blind for that production. He was almost a carbon copy of Connolly....GREAT in a contract year. Any other time, not so much. A good GM would have taken the gamble based on prior results. I haven't seen a major shake up from this team since Turgeon for LaFontaine. I would like to see that from Regier. Different times? May be....but don't say it doesn't happen.

I agree. I like seeing Hect actually being sat because he's basically useless(or belongs on the 4th line getting 6-8 minutes). But the sabers half-assed it. It should have been Ruff AND Regier and it really should have happened when T-Pegs took ownership. JUST firing Ruff didn't contribute to the overall outlook of where this team will be in the next 2-3 years. It was a cop out. It kept people in the seats. EVERYONE knows youth should have been brought up a while ago and Stafford should have been traded during his 30-goal season for picks that would have replenished the youth that was brought up.

Ya, I loved how Hecht was so pissed about the benching... as though he couldn't understand it... talk to the guys who are playing! LOL, talk about delusional.

OK, those who are clamouring for Burke to be the next GM... how do you explain Kadri's stellar year? Is he good because he was jerked around and told he was no good? Made an example of in the media?

Or has he always been this good, albeit a bit rough around the edges?

Same goes with Bobby Ryan out in Anaheim. He is a very good friend of a very good friend, which is why I want him here so bad. Is he good because of the way Burke Richarded him around in his rookie year? Or is he good in spite of it?

The reason I'm asking is in light of the way the Gringo is being treated. You can't honestly say this team would be this poopty with him in the line up over the rest of the panty waists we have out there. Confidence and skill are two things that need to be nurtured, and I can't really believe that they way he has been treated is helping him out.

Ruff and Regier have probably ruined him with all the benchings and poor treatment for simply not being part of the beloved "Core" of the team, kind of like how most new comers are not shown any respect and are expected to play the mysterious system.

And one last thing, has Jason Pominville ever thrown a body check? Or is the captain not allowed to be physical and sacrifice for the team?

My wife's reaction to watching the game tonight.... after first short-handed goal... want Sabres to lose... better draft position.

Then Foligno gets fancy... ok, not so poopty. Pommer's beauty pass and Vanek's goal... ok things just got real, still want Rangers to win.

Oh well, what the hell does she know about hockey? LOL!

i have quick in fantasy and reading the notes, it sounds like bernier has been outplaying him and has been taking more and more starts from quick.
- rangerdanger94

Right, the only "problem" with that is that the Kings just signed Quick to a huge long-term contract starting next year. They may be regretting that, but Quick hasn't been terrible in his last 5 either, he could be OK long term. You never know, I don't think the Kings will want to resign Bernier next year because they are paying Quick almost 6 million.

@HockeyyInsiderr: #LAKings looking 2make a splash again at TDD. Willing to spend to the cap. In on Stafford/Regehr/Smid #Sabres #Oilers http://t.co/UbqUSYM6Dq

Hmmm...
We already KNOW (from Homer) that LA has had interest in Pominville, and if what EK says about The Kings also being interested in Leopold...

There could def be a big trade brewing here

I'd like Bernier as our next goalie... It's prob time for LA to move him before a situation occurs like the one in Vancouver
And D.Brown has been one of my fav players for a while now... He only has 4goals this year and there have been rumors in the past about LA possibly trading him... And it's no secret that Buffalo has definite interest

Getting those two would be amazing!

Foligno finally showed up again.Lets hope he keeps it up and doesnt do a Stafford on us.Our pp has got to be the worst in the leaque.I was thinking can we just decline the pp so we dont get scored on? 5 on 5 we looked good and the Rangers all that talent and no clue how to use it.Enroth looked good too.

Id like to see Enroth get another start just to see what he can do.Whats left of the season should be for evaluations for next year.

Was he wrong ? Use that analogy for his own team as well.

So what.... So they won a game..... Does it really mean anything knowing they will not be in the playoffs anyhow?

As bad as this team has looked at times, and as painful as they have been to watch, we have lost ten 1-goal games. If you win just half of those we are like 5th in the conference right now. I guess what I'm trying to say is that they may not be as bad as we think? Or maybe they are. Hell, who knows?

Darcy should not be in control of this team any longer, thanks to Pegula not getting rid of him and Lindy when he bough this circus act we are now 2 more years behind our original 2 years.

Good teams find ways to win those games more often than not. They are not a good team. Hence, they've lost those games.

They are pretty painful to watch at times. Miller kept them in many of those games.

I can't remeber the last time the backup was allowed to play in fron of the home crowd.

Enroth has played well the past 2 games. Play him more often and give him a chance to shine at home. Treat him like he's on the team and get the goalies on a rotation, who cares if its a home or away game.

Though much of Enroth's play is his own fault, I think the track record of the previous backup goaltenders from Thibault through Lalime showed that part of the problem with the backups is that they only play about once a month. That's a problem.
