Pommer and Leo for Bernier, Toffoli and Muzzin
- Powerslave

I'd prefer Tanner Pearson because of the lack of depth at LW

But I would have no problem pulling that trigger

in both the devils and this game enroth has looked very good.

still gives up some juicy rebounds, but his 5 hole problem has all but vanished.

- Putzfrau

He seems to almost collapse upon himself to cover the 5 hole now. Good eye on that.

He actually had a good game against Carolina. None of those goals soft. He did not have a good game against Philly though.

I think that's the problem though. Your cap space is so heavily weighted on a few guys at the top, that if they don't perform, the feel the heat. And they should, i guess. Same thing here happens when Vanek goes on a drought. One bright spot for us is that our current coach knows our minor league players well and can plug them in to the lineup accordingly. To the point that we're going to have to make some executive decisions in a few days regarding Kaleta and Leino. We need to make room somewhere
- seedy

They have been drafting well, as of late, fortunately for them.

In this cap era it is almost impossible to keep everyone a team and it's fans want to keep.

There definitely will be some decisions to make starting this offseason.

no, just bad timing on the 2 goals he let in during the third period of that game

miller is not the problem, just for the record

They better not screw this up for the 3rd year in a row. I'm tired of this suck for half rush and barley miss the playoffs screw up a chance at a good pick. Just like the Bills do. I've come to describe this action as pulling a buffalo. Our buffalo teams do this all the time. We need a rebuild and will not get one if we pull a rush and barley miss the playoffs and don't get a top 5 pick. I am a diehard Sabres fan and have been for 13+ years. But I am sick and tired of this charade year after year. The best thing for this team is to lose lose lose for the rest of the year. Rolston is just like ruff to it seems. Hecht on the second line for the injured ennis and leaving our talented rookie grigorenko on the 4th line with Scott and gerbe. He shouldn't be there. He is rotting there. Put him on the second line wing if u have to. Get him some playing time. I have been a Regier supporter up until now. I've loved his draft choices and ability to pick talent in the later rounds like pominville foligno miller his first round picks have almost all made the nhl lately. Myers ennis kassian (not that great but still) vanek stafford (again not that great but nhl quality) he's been great at getting the better side of a trade. Kassian and gragani for hodgson and sulzer=win a 4th for the rights to ehrhoff=win Byron butler for Regehr and a pick. Win the 21st and a 2nd rounder to move up to 14 to select girgensons=win. I love all of that. But at the same time he's done terrible things like resigning hecht yet again. He shouldn't be in the nhl let alone on our second line. Waiting way to long to make moves. Taking years and years to finally fire ruff. I feel Regier positive has outweighed the negative since Pegula came in but it's time for him to go. I do not want this guy rebuilding the team. He doesn't have enough vision and creativity to get the right players here. We need someone who will shake up the roster. Miller needs to go for his own careers sake and we can get a pretty penny for him to go to a contender. With him vanek and pommer all free agents in 2 summers one or 2 need to go. We have to many big contracts. I want a guy like Housley rebuilding this team. I want a coach that thinks offense first. Look at ottawa. They are building with offense. They are miles ahead of us and are going to own us for years to come if something isn't done even the Leafs are on an upward turn. The whole division is getting better and we're getting worse and older. Fire Regier. Trade miller/vanek or pominville or 2 of them. Aquire as many firsts as u can in this draft. Even seconds. Its a deep draft and could be what's needed to help catapult us back into a contender in the division conference and league

Why are they babying Grigorenko and not Flynn. They just let Flynn go and it works. Unless its because he has AHL experience.

I for one think Miller should be moved in the off-season. Could really help the rebuilding process and youd get a great market for him

Sabres still suck.

Leopold ices the puck on a "power play?" When does that happen in the NHL? And Sekera, for all his good work tonight, barely made an effort to trap the errant pass that floated by him. Keep Pominville off of the g-d powerplay, and come up with a few new strategies that actually have a hope in hell of working.

Foligno probably turned on the jets since he might want to stick around. Nice to see some emotion there.

About the Miller situation: My magic eight ball is telling me that the team wants him gone for his questionable leadership style, ie throwing team under bus for each and every loss, combined with the frustrations of playing for a terrible team and the fact that Charlie Sheen is watching the game in LA with his wife. Kipper may be on to something. Plus, that guy said his brother's wife is a secretary for the Sabres, and that something big is going down!

Maybe Pegula is growing a set and is deciding to break a few eggs and shake things up. BTW, that Beyond the Blue and Gold visit to Pegula's house was sick, but it was odd to see the team react. I don't think they have ever experienced a situation like that in their careers. Ennis looked about as confused as Pommer's mom about the cars.

We need some sources to reveal the secrets!!! H5!

Because, Rolston. Every coach has his favorites. That's one of the most dangerous things about firing Ruff and keeping Regier. The dynamic might actually get MORE screwed up based on what Rolston looks for in a player. When it's all said and done, Regier will get fired, Rolston will go back to Rochester or get fired, and we'll have this tool box of assorted parts that dont fit together and a new coach and GM to sort it all out. Which will set us back even further.

I agree. I like seeing Hect actually being sat because he's basically useless(or belongs on the 4th line getting 6-8 minutes). But the sabers half-assed it. It should have been Ruff AND Regier and it really should have happened when T-Pegs took ownership. JUST firing Ruff didn't contribute to the overall outlook of where this team will be in the next 2-3 years. It was a cop out. It kept people in the seats. EVERYONE knows youth should have been brought up a while ago and Stafford should have been traded during his 30-goal season for picks that would have replenished the youth that was brought up.

Really? EVERYONE knows that?

Why would you wanna trade a guy that scored 31 goals in 62 games for picks? Its easy to say that now.
