gabby's scored 40 goals twice in the previous 3 season?

100% agreed about the 7 game series thing.

Damn. That's better that he was doing in Minnesota when i lived there.

yeah but 98% pf this board was calling Enroth dog poop after those few games when the team played uninspired hockey

safe to say he is back and is what he is

A goalie worthy of playing in the NHL adjusting from being the man to a seldom used backup that can still play with the best of them on any given night.

- homiedclown

I agree that the kid can play. I just don't know if he's a starter. Could he be? I suppose, but I'm not sold at all. I guess if he played more... (and if Mr. Kypreos is to be believed, maybe Enroth will)

you get your top 4 D playing great, hank focused in net and your top two lines rolling, then the rangers can beat any team in a 7 game series in the east

Right now, no way in hell I would want Enroth the be the starter

a two goalie system where both play 35-45 games a year would work best for the team short term, and the cap if Miller was moved

Except for the last couple years, I've always viewed NY as a team that signs stars that can't actually play together just for the sake of putting stars on the ice. The last couple years, I have been jealous of their team. But I think they're starting to get too star heavy again. I lived in Minneapolis during the Gaborik era and he is definitely a waste of money. Dude was hurt more often than not and would show occasional flashes of brilliance. You guys need more Callahans, Less Gaboriks....or you could just trade us Callahan. I'm sure we have some lazy europeans somewhere in our system we can give you.
- seedy

I slightly disagree, they aren't reverting back to the old days of relying on signing or trading for other team's stars. They have a lot of good core homegrown players. This year a lot of key players are having less than average seasons(Gaborik & Richards especially) which makes it hard to thrive.

Right now, they don't look like a serious threat in the East. They have the potential to be but they have been disgustingly inconsistent to this point.

Dude that move was smoove. I remember yelling at the tv when he stopped, then seeing the play develop and thinking, 'oh, he does different things when plan A isn't working out'. Not used to that.

Sabres have been scouting every single Kings game lately. Not sure how much, if any, Bernier's been playing (I guess I could look it up), but he's ready to step out from behind Quick, for sure.

Then again they could become this years LA Kings. Good on paper, average in the standings. Then in the playoffs it just happens for them. The certainly have the goaltener for it. And a backup we like here.

That's called "cre-a-tiv-ity".

I don't blame you for not knowing what it is after having to watch this team all year. Kinda nice for a change!

Quick is slightly above average. Unless they play lock down defense he is mediocre. Another 2 goal 1st period for him tonight

If the Sabres traded Miller

goalies on the cheap that could split time with Enroth on the free agent market will be

Budaj (30 years old)
Emery (30)
Khudobin (26)
Ellis (32)
Greiss (27)

I think that's the problem though. Your cap space is so heavily weighted on a few guys at the top, that if they don't perform, the feel the heat. And they should, i guess. Same thing here happens when Vanek goes on a drought. One bright spot for us is that our current coach knows our minor league players well and can plug them in to the lineup accordingly. To the point that we're going to have to make some executive decisions in a few days regarding Kaleta and Leino. We need to make room somewhere

Then the Sabres better pounce on Bernier if that's who they're after, before it's too late

in both the devils and this game enroth has looked very good.

still gives up some juicy rebounds, but his 5 hole problem has all but vanished.
