I'm sure Homer would back me up on this, the Sabres brass are going to create a shakeup. Heads are going to roll on trade deadline day boys. Get ready. |

I've been saying since last year Miller was not going to get a contract extension, or wouldn't sign one with the Sabres even if they did offer one because he would want to play out west close to his wife. I also think/thought be wasn't going to get a contract because of his age. He'll be what 34 when this contract is up? Anyway, I'm not Kypreos but his opinions/inside info is respected. - GilPerreault11
All I'm saying is that, behind Miller, Enroth (great outing tonight) isn't an answer as far as a starter. Makarov, Knapp, Lieuwen or Ullmark are clearly years away, if they'll even see the light of day at all. Goalies don't enter their prime until around age 30. He clearly hasn't slipped at all. Why wouldn't they extend him another couple, three years until one of the kids is ready?
If Kypreos had told us that they are hot on Bernier's tail or something, then I'd believe him somewhat. But with no viable option in net, I have to take what Kyp says with a grain of salt. |

Just a clumsy kid, needs to put the time in? Wish he had the drive & jam that is needed to play this game! - Irish 14
I don't blame people for being upset with his play or lack of production, I just think some of the criticism is unfair. He's too young and talented to give up on IMO |

This is completely logical, but I could see Miller looking to get a job in LA or Anaheim at a discount just to be with his wife. The management of this team isn't exactly showing him a commitment to winning. But I agree, Kypreos isn't giving any details about the trade that he speculates is going down... |

tough game to watch as a rags fan. overall, i felt the rags were the slightly better team overall but enroth stonewalled us and you guys took advantage of your chances. those 4 penalties in the 2nd really fcked us too
your first 2 goals were sicknasty. |

LA has Quick and Bernier, and ANA has Fasth and Hiller. Miller can want a job in LA or ANA all he wants, but as of right now they all have two great goalies apiece.

as much as an ass he sounds like from reading that quote, you gotta understand that torts is saying that mainly to send a message to the players as well as take the attention of their poor performance from the media. though i'm sure there's a more respectful way to achieve these things, this is torts' way of handling it for years. |

I like Torts. Usually gets his teams to work hard for him. Very misunderstood coach by fans who don't follow the NYR. Would love him in Bflo. |

I don't keep tabs on other teams cap and rosters. But, good point. But, when are their contracts up/when is their payday? Agents CAN work magic though (See Tim Connoly and Drew Stafford) Never say never. |

It just reminds me of the end of Lindy Ruff in Buffalo. Just a desperate man on the mic. The coach of an underachieving team that spent to the limit and really felt they made good choices. |

we have stretches of games where we look like the pre-season favorite everyone pegged us to be but then we have stinkers like that. consistency is the biggest issue right now with the rags and i am indeed worried because it seems that every team ahead of us keeps winning.
before tonight, 6 games ago we were in 8th place. we won 5 of those 6 games and were still in 8th place.... |

All they're doing is (frank)ing up their draft pick.
