i'm legitimately curious to know why, in the opinion of flames fans, there is such hesitation to blow things up.

is feaster scared to get jobbed on a trade?

does he honestly look at his lineup and thing, with a couple tweaks, it's a stanley cup contender?

is ownership hesitant to move their big names?


this team has been ripe for a teardown for atleast 3 years now, and for some reason they keep hesitating.

Yes Edwards is calling the shots along with Ken King. Feaster's hands are tied. Until the ownership group lets Feaster do his job this team will continue to be in purgatory

Berglund, Pietrangelo, and Shattenkrick are all RFAs after this season, and if St. Louis is planning on being a cap spending team, they might have to part with him, thats a lot of big raises coming, and stewart would be another big raise.

Already pumped for stampede this year. Wild horse is by far the best event tent in the city

What's up SA_11?!

I've heard the reasons being 2 fold:

1. They are afraid of the old "Young Guns" era when we sucked and had little fan support/losing money or whatever.

2. Big money is made off the names of our core, namely Iginla and Kipprusoff. With no heir apparent to give those sales a new boost, ride what still seems to work marketing-wise.

that place in genernal is a scuzzbucket, the rooms look like cheap porn sets, and even their valets standing outside look like they have some sort of std.

Was reading on Flames Nation that there were scouts from Canucks, Rangers, Blues, Ducks, Sabres, Preds, Avs, Pens, Lightning & 2 scouts from the Bruins at last nights game. Also stated there have been no contract discussions with Iggy yet. How could that be 3 weeks prior to trade deadline & after Feaster & Iggy said at the start of the year Iggy's agent & Feaster were going to commence contract talks. If some of the owners need (frank)ing convincing of the status of the team, I suggest Feaster cut out the NHL team standings out of the Calgary Herald & let them look at that while playing the HNIC post game panel after the game from Saturday night. These Owners are multi multi millionaires, they cant be that (frank)ing stupid. Cmon Feaster, how about just some honesty here, it doesnt have to be intellectual honesty, just some (frank)ing honesty.

I just don't know what's going to happen here. The silence from this organization after this devastating road trip is...concerning. Almost like business as usual. Which is confusing. This team basically needs to win out this season, and not a peep from anyone.

This team isn't good enough, and we have waited long enough for the "higher ups" to notice. This team has to have changes.

I don't think the organization we currently have will ever rebuild. So maybe before rebuilding, we ned a complete overhaul of management. Bring someone in who knows how to fix the situation?

Eliotte Friedman wrote in his blog yesterday that Feaster told him there is absolutely no way they tear down so i wouldn't expect too much in the way off a sell-off in Calgary.

I didnt like cowboys, it was a magnet of douches and spraytans and guys walkign around with no shirts on. Tourists probably.

I work in architecture, so I usually am goign to client group, suppliers, or engineers stampede parties. Dont really have to look for any events until the weekend
