Are you surprised? I thought they would have at least kept him on the roster. Most teams have a plan in place before they unload their starter, strange move.

They plan on getting one in the draft. And Travaris Jackson will run the offense until he is ready.

So Fitzpatrick is up for grabs? I'd want him as Roethlisberger's backup.

As a Dolphins fan this plan excites me.

If I were the Bills I'd pass on Geno smith in the 1st and grab Barkely in the 2nd. Not sure the next Jim Kelly is available in this draft. Ha Ha Dolphins I'd be excited if I was a bills fan and watching the contracts/potential contracts they want to shell out

we'll probably trade a low pick for Nate Thompson or something.

Nate Thompson isn't a bad name at all. Nice 4th liner and works hard, in the mold of Vitale.

No TK in practice today.

As per the football conversation. It is good to see Baltimore getting raided after the terrible contract to Flacco.

If Flacco is better than Brady I have an "athletic build" and am really good with chicks.

Yes Flacco won a superbowl, I'd still take about 10 QB's ahead of him. That contract is a joke.

Ben Eager is devastated by his waiver, because it reminded Gary Roberts that Eager still exists and Roberts may not be done punching him yet

Flacco's contract really isn't that bad this year as it has a only a $6.8M Cap hit in 2013. However, that means the later years are pretty tough.

That being said, i think the greater damage by the Flacco deal was everyone in the Ravens locker room looking at him & saying to themselves "I need to get paid like he did this offseason."

I might be inclined to give Johnson a look again. He has scored some goals for Phoenix. He has more goals than our fourth line combined.

If he can bang around & help out on the PK, I'd take him in a second over Glass.

The fact that he's the highest paid player in the league is what I'm talking about.

I'm not disagreeing that its a crazy deal; All I'm saying is that you can't blame his contract for the Ravens inabllity to re-sign the guys they lost yesterday. His deal actually helped create more Cap Space for the Ravens in the short-run.

Morrow isn't the same cat of yester year . He still has a physical dimension, but to me, he is a third line player at best. Nystrom is a third/fourth line type. I'd take Morrow for a second or third and pass on Nystrom.
- Oneonta Penguin

I agree, this is not the Brenden Morrow of a few years ago. That being said, he would be an upgrade for the 3rd-line at the right price (conditional 2/3rd pick pending playoff success)?
