Bruins just play super aggressive on puck handler and strong side board option. It's very effective but can be beat with a skip pass combined with a slot presence in a soft spot.

Of course...

He's not consistent and he's a pus*y. Can't be trusted in a big game.

... And Engelland has proved he can play in big games?

Pens seem slow to respond tonight.
Not really much of a game. they seem content to sit on lead and frustrate us. We have a little push back but not a smart push back.

So where is the open net to shoot at on that play?

Mostly sarcasm...but still, I'd like for him to get a goal

Bruins are playing well, Pens not quite as bad as some of the posts have made them out to be but they do need to dig in and start to create more for themselves.

2nd period isn't bad, bruins are just doing an awesome job of keeping our guys to the outside and taking away anything in the middle

Im getting frustrated watching the game, I would hate to be playing the Bruins, so hard to get through the neutral zone and keep the puck in the zone.

The good part of that play shows why I don't think Chara being matched up against Crosby is a problem. It's Bergeron Bylsma needs to get away from Crosby.

Love the way Boston kills penalties. Do we have the players to try to emulate them? So effective and don't give up many chances, playing up high, the opposite of Bylsma's set up.

I saw that stat, Bergeron and Peverley and 14 of 16 on faceoffs...that's a problem. This is why Bergeron is always a Selke nominee

In tight games like this when down 2-0 a dynamic offensive defenseman like Letang needs to make his mark.

This period has been good. Pens have only allowed 10 shots all game.

Pens are getting the forecheck going, but I'd still love to have a big player in front of the net, on both ends

why is glass even playing if he isnt going to start anything and get the crowd into it.. all he had to do was push a bos player at end of that play.. if he isnt doing his job he shouldnt be playing

Big reason why a boston is so tough to generate zone time against is because their forwards are great in neutral zone. This eliminates the extra seconds their opponents have to make a quality dump in. Instead of dumping the puck in to places where you can win a puck battle, it's a weak dump in that is easy for the defense to retrieve it.

He has been underwhelming. He doesn't hurt the team, but doesn't really help either.

Yes he has been a disappointment IMO. He has a reputatuion of being physical and a leader but I have seen neither.

Yes they did the same thing to Philly recently. I would like some hits to get them off their game a bit. Run the goalie a bit. I mean why not at this point?

Good period. Could have used a little puck luck in reward.

Would be really nice to have Geno in this game.....yes, I'm the master of the obvious.

Geno changes the fabric of the game for sure. It's an obvious statement but also incredibly true.

In games like this we need Geno. We need two very good scoring lines... nd Geno is Geno.
