5 of the 6 games in the winning streak have been by 1 goal. Thanks Islanders.

Also: Does it really feel like the Pens have won 11 of 14? That's a heck of a run for a team that has finally put two quality games together.

Kudos to Bylsma and the leadership on this team for not getting frustrated last night. We rip them when they lose their cool, so we need to give them credit when they keep working hard and stay patient with their game plan.

Gotta wonder if Eaton helped the calmness in the room and on the bench?

Also, a lot of credit to Sutter, it really impressed me that he didn't try to force a pass there to Sid in the slot. He made the right play, and made a great shot. Good on him for having the confidence to look off the best player in the league. And Crosby's reaction was just awesome, he could care less about being held off the scoresheet.

His leash has to be getting tighter....and as it does, the meltdowns will become more frequent. Makes for good tv!!

I think we need to find replacements for Glass, Kennedy, and Jeffery.

Jeffery is so slow its hard to watch.

So I was wrong about SIDS stats but had the score right. He deserved a point he was awesome. Not sure why hcdb refuses to coach but getting match ups is part of your job. Biggest takeaways were 1. Bennett is really good he works extremely hard away from the puck. You can't see it on tv as well. 2. The 4th line does absolutely does nothing for me.
- dbell646

I think there were actually a number of instances where Sid managed to get out there without Chara on the ice, like the last goal for example.

I also think at some point, if you tinker too much with the lines and who goes out when to get matchups, you disrupt the flow of your players. Its not like the Pens weren't getting chances doing what they were doing. Sometimes you just have to let the players do their thing and hope it works out.

Agree on all counts... Sutter and Cooke aside, the bottom 6 is a trainwreck most nights.

I thought Jeffrey played pretty well last night. He's not a super aggressive spaz on his stick like Kennedy is. He calm and fluid.

Did you just make this animated gif?

He did that to complain about Kunitz trying to sell a penalty but Khudobin really got him right in the mouth. A$$ clown coach.

I didn't think he was too bad. Clearly just a depth forward and I don't want him playing over Vitale, but he's an acceptable fill in when a starter goes down.

I would like to see replacements for Glass and Kennedy for sure.

Calm and fluid, but slow and soft... I just don't have a use for him when Malkin is back.

I'd keep Kennedy for his backchecking skills and hard work. We can find a replacement for the 4th line for sure. Have nothing against Glass but he seems really slow and is not winning puck battles.

When Craig Adams is your big scorer on the 4th line, you know you are struggling. I personally think the 3rd line is OK, but they definitely don't cycle the puck like they did when Staal was on the team. Maybe that will come in time.

I agree they need to do something with the 4th line.

Kennedy has been a turnover machine, but I don't have any problem with his work ethic. If we get a nice upgrade for the third line, I'd be OK with TK taking over for Glass. Glass has been a big disappointment. You're right, he rarely wins puck battles and he's virtually never a threat to chip in some offense.

Teams play all the time back to back. It's part of the game. If you say a team lost because they had a game the night before that's a sore losers excuse.

Any chance we can see Kennedy on the 4th?Even though he's small he's relentless and work hard.

Anyway, let's bring a guy that can play 3rd and 4th line interchangeable and be a staple. Maxime Talbot homecoming anyone?

Just saw that yep, Kennedy on the 4th makes sense. Would like to see him jumping between the 3rd and 4th line with the guy we bring.

Love Max, hate his contract. He's not having a great year either. Last year was a fluke.
