Pretty sure Campoli is in Switzerland for rest of the season. I heard the illustrious Sami Lepisto is available since his team got eliminated in the KHL playoffs a while ago, and that guy loves Chicago!

THE ONLY top 6 winger I am interested in. Otherwise I am interested in centers who can win faceoffs. My dream would be to find a 2nd line C and move Bolland back to third line. With Bolland's bad faceoff percentage and injury history, would rather that impact a lower line.

Clarkson is no center, but for a player who plays like him I'd make an exception and we'd probably have an opening at wing as we'd be moving one to NJ in such a trade.

I think we're OK at defense. I don't think we're overly special...we still give up quite a few SOGs, but it's a capable defensive unit. The winning streak wasn't just defense, but the goalies played well and we got some good breaks along the way. The defense (nor goalies) are as good as they appeared during the streak, but they aren't bad either.

Does Calgary have any washed up 4th line C's we can snatch up? I stay open to being surprised by Bowman, but I won't hold my breath. Although I don't see a blockbuster being needed to push this team over the top. I hope there is something out there in which the asking price doesn't scare him off.

No but Brendan Morrison hasn't officially retired yet

Is anyone else thinking we might need another winger who can score? We cannot underestimate Sharp's shoulder injury even after he comes back. I don't see him being the second coming of Henry Rowingartner and all of the sudden having a stronger shoulder after this. His shot is going to be severely effected for the rest of the year, not to mention it can pop out easier now.

I don't disagree with you on the concussion thing. If he can be had for a 4th round pick (or less), that's a low enough cost to take a gamble on.

Clarkson has only put up one really good year stat wise and that was last year. Dont watch Devils games so I dont know what he brings physically. Would rather pry Smith and Neal from Ottawa if thats possible. Kulemin has better over all numbers that Clarkson imho.
