I don't think think you trade Leddy unless the return is significant and a person you can sign. Leddy's people have to be asking for the moon if the Hawks are considering trading him. Imagine what this team would look like with a crappy 3rd pair! Keith and Seabs would be playing 30+ minutes a night. The Hawks will probably look for depth with size. |

Jesus boys, buy a version of NHL 13 and go enjoy yourselves. That's about the only place 95% of these proposals fly.

I'm not sure they would fly there |

Just my NHL13 GM thoughts
1st, McNeil, Leddy for Pominville would make lines:
Pominville Toews Hossa (move Pville to LW)
Sharp Bolland Kane
Saad Shaw Bickell
Frolik Kruger Carcillo (bollig, mayers)
Keith Seabrook
Oduya Hammer
Brookbank Roszival

I don't like this trade proposal one bit.

There really is no established market price for goaltenders right now - Gillis can't move Luongo; Murray would have moved Bishop earlier when Ottawa was hit by injuries if he could have helped his team upfront or on D; LA hasn't traded Bernier maybe because nobody knows what he's worth; Im sure Anaheim would move Hiller's contract now that they have Rasth. What's Ryan Miller worth the way he's playing? - RickJ
This, 100 times. |

There is no reason to move Leddy just because he is a pending RFA, regardless of what his agent might be asking for.
Right now he is a useful member of the D corps and I sure would like to see him get more PP time. If they have trouble signing him, Bowman can shop him around in the summer to teams like Philly or wait for the offer sheet like Colorado did with ROR. |

This.
Bowman should have no trouble trading Leddy this summer and getting back a good return. |

McNeil, 1st, Leddy
for
Pominville - FourFeathers773
Massive over-payment on our part, Pominville is yet another right winger, 5.3 million cap hit for this year and next.
No thanks man. |

Isnt the point trying to win a cup this year while the window is widest?
I understand, but the buyouts will help with his cap hit for next year and makes signing someone like stalberg expendable.
Thats massive depth on 3rd and 4th lines though. Add saad to 3rd line and moving bickell down to 4th line to lower the boom. The 4th line would now consist of two 15+ goal scorers and kruger in between them. Thats hard to match up with |

Stll, your proposal gives up way too much for Pominville.
It's time to let your proposal die.

No offense, its time you realize all deals for a piece that improves a cup contender will be an overpayment given the circumstances of this season
Just like last year, its a sellers market. Too many teams think they are still in it |

I don't believe Pominville brings the physical presence the 'Hawks need at this time.
Couple that with the cap hit for next season would also put the 'Hawks in a financial bind. |

I would look towards smaller moves, look at our Gm. I don't think Stan is swinging for the fences. It also comes down to how flawed people think this team is. I would overpay for a 2C, not including Leddy. Other than that they have a stockpile of what look to be good forwards they can trade from, just a matter of Stan wanting to trade them. My bet goes to a big 4th line C, and a larger all terrain forward. Who? I have no clue, but that is where I see them going. |

Have you watched the Buffalo Sabres play this year?
Pominville actually makes more money than Corey Perry and you want to give up 2 young players and a #1 to get him?
Successful teams are being built internally thru the draft and their farm teams not by acquiring overpaid vs performance players on underperforming teams. |
