Move him to 2nd line center...... - UnnamedSource
It may not be a likely deal but Cody Hodgson would be a nice 2C for Kane and Sharp. |

I like what you're thinking here!
He is a RFA after this season. How is that going to work with next years cap? |

I think it could mean the end of Bolland.
Month and Olesz will be bought out and another player would have to go in the summer. Maybe Bolland or maybe Frolik. I'm one of the biggest Bolland fans but Shaw has done an admirable job in the 3C role. |

Very true. Should have mentioned his lack of hands too. He was the Bears equivalent of Jack Skille... |

Feels bad for the fans in Buffalo. They support all their teams, buy the jerseys and want a winner so bad. No corporate suits at the First Niagara Center, just hockey fans.
Problem started with signing Ville Leino to a fat contract, then Regehr, then overpaying Tyler Myers too soon, then Ryan Miller getting hurt and playing poorly ever since. And they have a 5'4" #2C and a 5'5" LW. It wasn't Lindy Ruff's fault, compsition of the team is terrible. - RickJ
Regier and Ruff shouldn't have been extended so quickly by Pagula...
They will be sellers and Miller will fnally be gone this summer. |

I most certainly was and I still believe that. But I've come to the realization that keeping Bolland may not be a realistic option. I always want the team's needs put before any individual player. I'm not saying acquiring Hodgson would absolutely mean the end if Bolland in Chicago, it's just a possibility. If Bolland were to go its not as bad as it might have been because of Shaw, he's turned out to be a better 3C than Kruger. |

I was just checking.
Honestly, IF Buffalo is going to "blow it up," I have doubts that they would move Hodgson. He'd be a nice young piece to rebuild upon. |

Stan had better be on the phone with Buffalo eeeeeemeeeeeediately about Ott. He checks all of the boxes.
A good GM would find a way to make that deal. Plenty of assets from roster guys to prospects to offer. Very few teams have the depth to work with that Stan does.
But I digress....

Ott would be a solid pick up for sure. An excellent bottom 6 forward and makes the Blackhawks instantly much more difficult to play against. |

Depends on what you're sending with Frolik. If Buffalo wants a 1st or McNeill (or both) to go with it, do the Hawks do it?
Side note: I just looked up Frolik's buyout for this summer. $750,000 cap hit next year, $316,667 cap hit the season after. |
