Agree. Hayes can probably chip in on draws (righty) when needed, but overall, SB may be looking for what he can bring to the 4th. And in front of the net on the PP--he will park there more than most currently on the roster.

I still believe tweaking the 4th line (again) may be the smartest way to improve the club. We'll see in the next couple of weeks.

I'm hoping Hayes can stay on the roster. Preferably on the 2nd line while Sharp is out but the 4th line would be good too.

wow..Pens are never out of it are they?...3-2 lead with 2:00 left..

and they hang on..

- Glenman12

Haven't seen enough Bruins games to know a ton about them, but the way they got dominated after they scored the 2nd goal. We'd all be freaking out if the Hawks played that bad with a lead. Good perspective, there is no great team in the league anymore.

What surprises me is that with the meteoric rise of shaw in this organization the rest of the players haven't figured it out that the fastest route to the nhl club is playing physical hockey

3rd or 4th line wing is where I would like to see Hayes. I'd also like to see him get an audition on the PP screening the front of the net.

I hate any win by the Canucks but hopefully that one took some wind out of the Bluejackets sails..

Maybe because Shaw's game was physical to begin with.....maybe it's harder to change ones game than you think it is.

I thought the Bruins had that game in the bag...what a comeback by the Pens...

...that team can explode offensively.

I bet that humbled the Bruins a bit.

They're trashing Colorado tonight.

Based on Shanahans previous record....a superstar usually gets a fine for a hit like that....

Anyone know if Hayes' skating improved this year. I know he had a habit of always falling down last year....

Southie...Hayes is like Phil Collins...'he can't dance'...unless he's been training with Marvin Hagler. Jimmy's a good egg, but for a guy his size....he's not that intimidating with the gloves off.

He's not much of a pugilist. He's had four fights over 2 seasons. I'm not saying he won't drop the gloves, but don't look for him to go out of his way to do so.
