I'm culturally and professionally biased. I see the trend is away from me, though.
Like how in the US, when driving on the highway, if everyone is driving a little to high over the speed limit, you yourself have to keep up with traffic. - Gian_Carlo
True. I know from looking at your location, you're in Switzerland, and yes, there are cultural differences in this regard. There are issues with the NHL, their teams, and how they conduct business. It's the worst in terms of economics of the major North American four: MLB, NBA, and NFL. |

the problem is with the league in allowing these spin-o-rama moves in the shootouts.
now they're too afraid to declare one of them illegal b/c it'll open up a whole can of worms about all of them. the league likes them to a certain extent b/c they are exciting for the fans and will always get on highlight shows. however, if you say some are legal, some are not, you'll open up the league to controversy and have 5 minute video reviews during the shootout.
my solution? get rid of the stupid shootout. the spin move is a gimmick within the larger gimmick (the shootout itself). - RealityChecker

Nah, keep driving slow. That always helps traffic flow and certainly doesn't increase the likelihood of accidents...especially if you are in the left lane |

I initially found this site looking for NHL talk in English. I need the practice.
Th NHL revenue structure is strongly suggestive of a 20-team league. |

john? wtf? take it easy. that burrows move should have been deemed illegal.
burrows stopped, had a picnic, waved to fans, called his junior coach to get advice and then shot.
seriously, the best deterrent for burrows on that play was how embarrassing it looked. i don't think he'll try that for a long time. - RealityChecker
Here's a link to a penalty shot you guys will like. Stefan Legein. LOL.

Can someone tell Eklund Montreal defensemans are by far the more productives in the league with 74 points and with Markov, Subban, Diaz and Emelin we don't need a Mark Streit in that team !

Ok, 28 other teams. There are what, 4 more years on Savard's contract? The main differences, aside from Boston not habitually IRing retirees, are that his contract is not a 35+ contract, the NHL would suffer a giant PR disaster for punishing the Bruins and not Matt Cooke, and the Islanders will trade for Savard to hit the cap floor next year. - Gian_Carlo
So if this was Landeskog...that's ok then? |

Really? How does one lift the puck off the ice when you're controlling it from the top? Raask could've just lied down on the goal line. He made it look a lot more difficult than it was. |

It's EK. He thinks Steve Sullivan is the ultimate rental because of his faceoffs, even though he's only taken like 3 this year. Oh and don't forget his amazing penalty kill which he's not always on...his sources are capgeek and TSN.com
He also claims that his rumor chart is from his "sources" but also personal opinion of where he thinks a player will go. Meaning a lot of this isn't from sources (if he has any) and makes stuff up. My rumor chart would be just as reliable as his. |

What about the fact his skates and ass-end hit the tender before he attempts a shot.? For the shooters sake I hope he got the OK from MacLean, before attempting this cheesey, all-star game attention -grabber. - Leaf_HabFan
I too was wondring about that; looks like interference -his skate
Is on the goal line up against rasks pads |

Why can't you believe he made the save? He knew that it obviously wasn't coming up off the ice. It's not a very tough save when you already know he's shooting low. |

Eklund: Quick Hits: 15 Updated on Rumor Chart...Jagr, Leopold, Iginla, Byfug... - Eklund
You sly ninja...will not make me become a season ticket holder for tweaking Iginla.
How about this. 100%. No tweaking required. and I give your ad banners page hits, so you can't hate me for free-riding.
Leopold is garbage.
Jagr will not be traded
Buff is staying, Winnipeg has a chance to make it.
Just did your job for free in 1 min. The shootout attempt was awesome though, Keenan is sour grapes and would have prob benched him anyways cause he's a miserable coj.

did you see Seguin's attempt? flew in and shot the puck right at Lehner's blocker. Lehner didn't ven have to move. no one criticizes the futility of that shot because it was a good old-fashioned hockey play. this guy tries something different, forces the goalie into making an acrobatic save, and it's the stupidest move ever. don't get it. there's nothing wrong with being a little creative now and then but that's becoming very taboo in hockey. - DoubleDown
