It can be, but its not a major risk to lose a guy like MacArthur when you already have Frattin, Lupul, JVR, Kessel, Kulemin, Komarov etc in the top 9. Then on top of that, have a need to add more size and physicality to their top 9. - systemtool
Which is why I say we trade Mac now and not resign him or Bozak for 4 million apiece. McClement and Komarov can play anywhere in the line-up for various tasks and roles. They can both play Wing/Center so I don't see the issue. I think MacArther on this team is too much in the middle. Yes, he has chemistry with Kadri and can jump into different lines... but he has so much trade value now and after a new contract probably doesn't have that value.
I'd be looking to move Mac to a team in the west that is contending for a piece that fits better. So, naturally a competitive swap. I'd seriously consider looking at guys like Berglund or Wilson out of Nashville. For St. Louis, I could very easily see a deal like:

Shove some useless tits helmet on him if they're that desperate Joe Vitale doesn't need it anyways - AdamFrench
lol, that whole sequence was funny though, I have seen refs pick up sticks as the play is in front of them but never actually going back in to a zone, back to play and retrieving a helmet for a player, also a nice subtle trip on Reimer as he looks at the ref.

Leafs need a top 9 player who can score but can also fight if needed. Someone like Chris Stewart/David Clarkson/Ryan Clowe/Milan Lucic/Wayne Simmonds. I'm not suggesting these players... just suggesting their style. We can't keep Orr and Mclaren in the lineup when we are healthy. If we could somehow pry Stewart out of St. Louis I would be more than happy. Maybe for Kulemin and a mid level prospect/pick?
Something tells me STL wouldn't go for that. - ejeezy
Something tells me they're pretty damn desperate with that weird Goalie controversy.
Maybe just Bergie then. In which case I'd say Bozak and a mid level pick. Or offer up another defenseman who can at least prevent Halak/Elliot from being rolled every night for 3+ goals.
It was pretty awesome and an even better save but I'd be PISSED if I was Rask and that went in. His foot is in the net by the time he comes around with the puck. The way he's pushing Rasks leg back makes it even more impressive that Rask held his ground.
