Interested to see how this plays out. RC likes his sticks pointed a particular way. So Gardiner being LH would have to replace Phaneuf, Gunnar, or Fraser ...or Phaneuf gets bumped back to the right side.
- The Law

I don't know how this will play out, my guess like you said is replacing a left hand shot going by Randy's method of playing defenders, which leaves, Gunnarsson or Fraser being replaced. They need to get Gardiner up here, he is back to playing at full strength by the looks of it.

I wasnt. I was talking, in general, more to the people who suggest he'll garner a 4th/3rd. Im not sure where you think I was trying to force him on anyone.
- sanfordnson

He'll get a 3rd and an okay prospect, but very few teams will likely have any interest in adding salary beyond this season. Might have to take salary back to make it happen. Im sure you're not.

Leafs have not lost three consecutive games since last season. Will attempt to avoid doing it tonight in Wpg.

I read the blog I don't remember him ever saying he was trolling for hits in the blog. We know he was but I don't remember him coming out and saying it. He s entertaining but some of the stuff even for trolling purposes is stupid.

Angles? Ease up there Kurt. Its just a hockey forum discussion. This is where your anger and confusion don't do you any favours.

Im only speaking from a Toronto POV in this thread. When it comes to the Leafs, Hemsky has little to no value. Maybe not even a roster spot if the Leafs forwards are all healthy. A battle between him, Kulemin and Mac. And right now, he doesn't get the egde unless he can play solid D like Kulemin.

He wont bring much value, and if you want value in return, try trading some value. True enough to suggest we dont know what his value really is, but stop trying to force him onto teams/fans that don't have interest and see no value in him. Fair?

- systemtool

not just a Toronto POV ... Hemsky won't bring much value - primarily because of contract and injury history. For reference, its the same argument regarding Luongo. Not a bad player, just a bad contract.

Different with Komisarek. Bad contract, horrendous player.

Ease Lupul into the line up. Start him on the third line for now, IMO.
- systemtool

Bozak and Kessel are the 3rd line.

don't throw that "stupidity"commentary around... the "suggestion" was made in response to an earlier... which you obviously didn't read because you have your head up you ... nevermind.

Halak, Ryder and 2nd for LeCavalier.... nuff said.

In retrospect, that would have been a pretty good deal for the Bolts...

Their defence and goaltending is horrendous. I remember TSN had Lindback rated higher than quite a few goalies and Reimer dead last in the conference. Some experts.

And if fans were looking for a dude for their team, they would be "choosier" than Hemsky. Though I do agree with your post. You would probably want a dude with more chest hair.

Indeed their defense is godawful. I don't know if any goalie could look good behind them...

Alot of analysts and bloggers are talking playoffs like Leafs have already made it. Another poll says we have a 90% chance of making it.

While I think we are on pace, were only 6 points ahead of 11th with 14 of our 22 remaining games against teams currently in the playoffs. That's not including this crucial home in home against Winnipeg, a tough matchup at home against Philly and the always rough game in Buffalo.

Just don't want to see history repeat itself. I think I'd die. Still alot of work to be done.

I would rather keep Mac, and just buy out Komi.

I cant see the Leafs being sellers unless they fall out of contention.

- systemtool

Interesting angle really... moving Komisarek and/or Liles doesn't really consistute being sellers.. it would position Nonis to be a buyer... that's why I'm suggesting it. Get rid of the pro contracts, make roster spots - because those guys are treading water nothing more.
I agree with the Leafs not being sellers in the broad sense, but by clearing out either or any of Komisarek or Liles, perhaps makes room for a Gardiner call-up if there are no other moves.

I believe that those two will end up being bought out come July 1st... and that Gunnarson ends up being moved.... just a guess.

My point of being sellers was trading Bozak and Mac, not Liles or Komi. Komi will be bought out, no team would trade for that contract unless they're drunk or having a brain fart. Liles may be traded, but its not likely.

is Zeisberger taking over from Berger as the "restate the obvious, make myself sound important" reporter guy?

2nd question - has Berger found a job yet? does he still get in free to Leaf games?

3rd question - will Dave Nonis and Simmons get on better than Burke and Simmons?

Those are the teams you have to beat, the Habs have got all eight points so far, Leafs have only gotten two out of four, need to win those games.
