Depends on what they want for Clowe... Leaf draft picks are pretty popular |

Thank GOD we have a competent GM in Nonis and none of you guys are running things. Some of you got half the team traded and nothing suggested coming back. goal tending needs to be better but might come with more time. Defense are playing well and a good cap hit and will be better when lyles is moved and komi bought out/ moved. These guys arn't horrible but just don't fit into the leafs future as we are loaded with prospects on defense. Love the balanced attack at forward and we have good depth and although we have stars we lack a SUPER STAR. Corey perry in this aspect would help greatly provided he is willing to come to toronto. Don't know how much better clowe would make us right now. Hes slow and streaky. The leafs will make the playoffs. But the road to the cup goes through BOSTON and we might not be quite ready. We might be able to beat pittsburgh but alot would have to go right for us. Not afraid of anyone else. Exspecially Montreal, sure they are a good team with outstanding goaltending but thier size will be thier undueing in the playoffs. The leafs could be upgraded at centre with say a mike riberio as he might be a rental come trade deadline. I'm very happy with this team and if by chance they could land an impact player of perry's ilk and maybe 1 or 2 small tweaks we could be deadly. - aziffles
Yes but no, all I`ve read is players, picks and prospects are higher value assets when we want to deal. And making an impact move to go deep into the playoffs this year is not going to happen. Cope would never allow a deal thats not good for the future and Tom Anselmi wouldn`t take it to him, the team has the depth and coaching for post season play and thats all thats expected. Next season the bar is higher.

At @Cpaterson72...
Are you Damien Cox? "It's apparent that Phil Kessel won't be the player envisioned?"
Yawn.
Think for yourself, don't puke up Toronto media narratives.

When we are healthy I figure the line up will look like this:
Lupul-Bozak-Kessel
JVR-Kadri-Frattin
Kulemin-Grabvoski-Macarthur
Kamorov-McClement-Orr/Maclaren
Offensively that is a dynamite line up but I am worried about our toughness
We have that 4th line but we need a top 9 player who plays with an edge. |

Advanced statistics says the leafs are in for a fall soon. BAsed on watching the games (not just leafs) it doesn't seem like it.
Already one fail with Steen more productive than Crosby, wouldn't surprise if they were wrong again. |

Time will tell.. A loss tonight could be hard to take.. Then again to the Pens and suddenly its chaos in Leaf nation.. Hopefully they hold it together but i'm predicting a bumpy ride. |

Because their shooting% is too high and they give up too many shots (No mention of where those shots come from)? |

If we beat the Jets both times this week, you can effectively eliminate the jets from catching us |

Tonight will be a good litmus test for the rest of the season. The Jets have been on the road and are gonna push hard to improve their home record. Should be an exciting game. I expect Frattin to play better, but hope Dion and Co can contain the speedy Jets forwards.. Leafs haven't played spectacular after days off this season. |

What exactly are you trying to say here Burn? Still drunk?
What stats are you looking at? Why are you comparing Steen to Crosby? |
