The other thing about Horcoff is, why would any fan care what a player is paid? Unless you're Daryl Katz, I don't see a problem. We're looking at 10+ mil in cap space next year even with Horcs and all the kids. It doesn't hamper us in the slightest. There is no reason to hate a player for being overpaid.

And take away that Horcoff complaint, you don't have a whole lot to complain about.

- Morris

Good point.

Whether its him or someone else, the kids in Edmonton need some kind of veteran presence out there with them. At the end of the day, helping those kids turn into the top flight nhlers, is #1 in Edmonton. Horcoff seems to be a plus in that department.

Giroux, Hartnell, Bryzgalov, Simmonds, both Schenn's, Voracek, and Couturier for 8 Edmonton prospects. Helps Philly with the cap, everyone wins.

i used to say that baout gomz too... not his fault he played well then took a glen sather pay out. also wasnt his fault that he played in a jacques martin system. that system had mike cammalerri playing on the pk.... who would ever succeed in that kind of poop....

but a reoccuring theme has been brought up and i think thats a change in scenery and a breathe of fresh air is needed in managment and coaching. kreuger isnt the guy, sorry.

ill quote therrien
rookies need 12 mins of ice time to develop
you need at least 30 shots on goal to win most game and you need to score 3 goals a game to win
you need the whole team to buy in and to play for each other, not the individual

gally averages 12 mins agame with the same paring with eller. hes got 13p +7
habs get 3.19 goals per game
average 30.3 shots per game
average 26.6 shots against a game

have 12 players with over 10 points and have the most goals from the def in the league

edm= better talent than the habs... something is wrong here coach and managemnet maybe? wrong vets.. (frank) horc and what 1 individual brings to the table...

why cant we hang out? i agree 100% it drives me bat poop crazy when he rposts poop like that. at this rate the oil wont be "ok" for another 5 years when they are all 25-27... but o poop then you had better watch out.

crosby and co, who had a great coach to develop them ( therrien) and great vetran pressance is what the oil need.... why is it so hard to understand? did they not already win the cup?

Hemsky + for Alexander Burmistrov (probably not the Big D man/Forward we need but decent return... and probably is too young inexperienced)? left handed shot and could be a great friend of Yaks. I think having a friend on the team is 100% undervalued. example: Hall Ebs and Schultz. Just a thought after reading the latest Jets blog.

It would help you most of all with Cap if didn't send you anything whatsoever, so future considerations instead of prospects.

Just trying to make it even for both sides, bro.

Edmonton has better talent in terms of scoring from top 6 forwards, and good team speed.

Other than that...
Bottom 6 - Montreal
Defense - Montreal by a wide margin
Goaltending - Montreal by an even wider margin
Physicality - Montreal, and given the way you guys are criticized that's saying something.

Veteran leadership may be the problem. Lack of quality defense, physical forwards and consistent goaltending is an even bigger problem.

In my opinion, making changes to solve leadership problems is a luxurious problem to have, compared to what we evidently need to fix. I really don't think that better motivational speeches are going to keep us from allowing the most shots in the league or generating the fewest on any given night. It's a talent problem.

Would anyone be against bringing in Brian Burke? I personally loved how he shook up Toronto and his overall attitude is what i like to see in a management position.

Tambs is on the clock in my opinion. It might be that we're unable to trade our first rounder until at least the draft. But he has to prove he can fill some of the gaps we have. To be even remotely satisfied he'll have to fill at least 2 of these gaps this offseason.

1) Top pairing or top 4 dman
2) Another top pairing or top 4 dman
3) Top 6 winger with size, be it a good scorer (Clowe type) or simply a guy who has good chemistry with the existing playmakers (Brouwer/Chimera type)
4) Veteran prescence in the bottom 6 who plays smart and physical
5) Competetive backup or 1a goaltender who can challenge Dubnyk.

id love to see chris neal in edm, then again i think mtl has some pieces that would help edms bottom 6. players that are coming back from injury and that have great size. clowe would be ideal for sure, but i think even he needs a few players to kick him in the butt. im not convinced he can bring the toughness the oil need consistantyl.

You assume I am suggesting there is something wrong if you were a gay. It is 2013, who gives a (frank) anymore. Gay, not gay, hot quebecois wife or not, its all good. Only matters if you think she is hot, you don't need me to compare her to others.
